The rain cascaded down the windows and Blaine let out a petulant sigh. Sebastian rolled his eyes fondly as he put the cup of wine he was pouring down on the counter before walking over to his saddened boyfriend, who was sitting on the couch, just staring out the window. Sebastian kissed his cheek sweetly and said, "Stop pouting, love."
"But… I really wanted to go to the park with you today," Blaine sighed.
"I know, but we'll go tomorrow." Sebastian promised.
"But tomorrow's not our anniversary. Our picnic won't be as special tomorrow." Blaine answered, pouting.
"Every day with you is special." Sebastian answered, smiling.
Blaine grinned and turned to kiss Sebastian gently. "Three years," he said softly. "We've been together for three years. I can't believe it."
"I know." Sebastian chuckled, "I can't believe I've been with anybody for three years."
"I'm worth settling down for." Blaine said, faking cockiness and smiling cheekily.
"Yes you are." Sebastian answered seriously.
"I love you." Blaine said as he pulled Sebastian close to him for a longer kiss than before.
"Love you too." Sebastian murmured against Blaine's lips was he pulled away from the kiss slightly. They kept their foreheads pressed together for a moment, just looking lovingly at each other, and suddenly Sebastian kissed Blaine softly again before standing and walking back to the kitchen. He poured a second glass of wine and walked back over to the couch. He handed Blaine his glass before clinking their glasses. They both took long sips of their drinks.
"I have a surprise for you. I was going to wait until we went on our picnic, but I want to give it to you today." Sebastian said, putting his glass down on the coffee table.
"Bas!" Blaine chastised, "We said no presents!"
"I know, but this won't count." Sebastian defended.
"Yes it will! I don't want it!" Blaine said, waving his free hand.
"But, B, it's more of a present to me if you say yes." Sebastian said softly as he took the glass of wine out of Blaine's hand and placed it on the table. He kneeled down on one knee in front of Blaine, who was still sitting on the couch. "Blaine Devon Anderson, I've had the most wonderful three years of my life with you." Blaine was already getting teary eyed and he nodded his head affirmatively. Sebastian fumbled with one hand in his pocket and took Blaine's left hand in his other. "Nobody has ever made me feel the way you do. I've never felt as safe or happy as I do with you. We've fought and we've gotten angry at each other and we've had our share of obstacles, but I want to spend forever with you. I want to grow old with you and I never want to be with anybody else ever again." Blaine brought his right hand to his mouth as he began crying. "Would you please marry me?" Sebastian asked, opening the ring box to reveal a simple, but beautiful silver band.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Blaine blabbered, "Sebastian! Yes!"
Sebastian took the ring out of the box and slipped it easily onto Blaine's finger. Sebastian stood up and Blaine, almost instantly, threw his arms Sebastian's neck. He cried happily in the crook of his neck until he could gather himself. He pushed Sebastian away just enough for him to have room to kiss Sebastian. Blaine kissed him over and over again in short, excited kisses.
Sebastian pulled away, chuckling a little. "I love you."
"I love you too." Blaine answered, playing with the ring on his finger.
"We're getting married," Sebastian whispered, grinning widely.
"We're going to be husbands." Blaine whispered back, smiling just as widely before kissing Sebastian again.
