Forever
By Niffler
It's a gorgeous sunset. Beautiful reds, crimson gold. The sky looks like it's the last night of the world. Maybe it is. That bloody sun, blood spilled all over the horizon. And it's your blood. Your blood, Ron's blood, Dumbledore's blood, but not my blood. No, never my blood; I'm always just left here staring at it. Alone.
The sun makes its last performance before it sets in the westWith a final burst of colour in the sky
I go out for a walk, I go out for a coffee, I just go out and I always find myself here, again. It's like you're pulling me, holding me. Like you're holding my heart.
I've been walking for days trying to figure out a way to let you go
And I find myself hiding away in the dark
Shivering in the night's unfriendly breeze
Why is it always so cold here? So cold and lonely. This graveyard is a lot like me. People tell me it is morbid to spend so much time in a graveyard but I can't help myself; like I said, I just keep ending up here, maybe, so I can talk to you again. You were always there to listen to me. I thought you'd always be there to listen to me and hold me. Now I just sit here shivering. Alone.
Cause I thought you'd live forever
I thought that you would never die
Why can't you be what everyone wanted to you be?! Why can't you be true and noble and the perfect hero?! They all wanted a hero! Even I wanted that hero.
Now maybe I was too young and innocent
But I believed, I believed.
I believed you were that hero. The only problem is, heroes come home dead.
My mind is like an endless forest and I cannot find my way
I'm searching for all the answers in my mind
I just want to know why. Just why? Why did you leave me? Why did you have to die? Aren't you the boy-who-lived? Why didn't you live? Why do I have to love you so much? . . . Because I do love you so much. I love you so much it hurts me all the time. Is that what you wanted? To hurt me?
Why does it hurt so much, when you love something
To let it go
Standing here, over your grave, everything looks very nice. It's neatly kept. There are always beautiful flowers on it. Can you see them? Sometimes I stand here and I can just feel you here with me and I can feel your arms around me and I can hear your voice in the wind.
And when I close my eyes I can still see your face
And I wonder will it always be this clear
But you aren't here. I know that. You're dead.
Cause I thought you'd live forever
I thought that you would never die
Now maybe I was too young and innocent
But I believed, I believed.
I believed in you, Harry, and you did it. I'm proud of you. Please know that no matter what, I'm proud of you . . . .
And as the sun goes down I don't feel so alone
Cause I've got you close within my heart
. . . and I love you.
And I know you'll live forever
You could never die
As long as I love you, you will live in me. I will always love you, so you can never die. I won't ever let you die.
Maybe I was too young and innocent
It's a cold night, Harry, but it is a gorgeous sunset. Can you see it?
But I still believe, I still believe.
