Tears rolled down Janet's face as she watched her best friend, Daniel Jackson, turn into a higher being. Although he wasn't dead Janet knew she would probably never see him again, and as this became more obvious to her the tears would not stop coming.
Although everyone had heard her say that Daniel was gone , Sam was the first one to notice that the doctor was shaking and crying uncontrollably.
"Janet are you ok?" Sam asked running to her friends side.
"He's gone, he's gone and I didn't even get to say goodbye," Janet collapsed into Sam's arms and cried for what seemed like and eternity.
After that Janet couldn't sleep or eat. When she slept she dreamt that Daniel was there beside her but he would always be taken away either by Apophis, Sha're, Hathor or any one of a number of people who hurt him. When she tried to eat she couldn't keep the food down and soon would be seen running to the bathroom. Sam, Jack, Teal'c and Cassie had tried to get her to open up but she refused to talk about losing the man she loved.
One day General Hammond finally got the courage to send the good doctor home. When she got their Janet went to her room and put on the stereo. She changed the station several times before finally settling on, what she thought was a good station. After a couple of minutes the song 'A total eclipse of the heart,' came on, Janet sat infront of the mirror and sang along with the stereo.

When she turned she saw a parcel laying on her bed. Inside was a picture of Daniel and Janet at Cassie's birthday party and a note.
