**Disclaimer** I do not own Digimon, thought I wish I did. Well, this is the second story I've brought to you guys via Fanfiction.net. I'm proud to say that this story is one of my originals. Just keep in mind that the only thing in the 25 years later ending for the show, the whole planet had Digimon partners. It isn't this way in the story. Sorry for the confusion I may cause. I'm creating this story as I go, so you and I are finding out the plot at the same time. But by looking at the title, I think you can guess who is coming back this time. Chapter One: Courage Lost
Tai was sitting in his room, now separate from Kari, sleeping from the tiring day he had at school and work. The memories of days past, both good and bad flew through his head at high speed. He was remembering things from his first time in the Digi-World. He remembered two things most clearly. He remembered the time he had to leave Kari behind in the real world, wondering if he would ever see her again. Then he remembered the instant that the trolley took off and he left Agumon for the first time.
Then he remembered the adventures with Kari's friends as the leaders, digidestined wise. He most heavily remembered when they all had a funeral for Owikawa, who passed away after Malomyotismon was done using him for his puppet. The strain of being a puppet for Malomyotismon and being separated from him was too much on his physical body. Even though, the body was gone and protecting the Digi-World, Cody still insisted that they should have a funeral for him, because truly, he was a Digidestined. He had a hero's funeral in the Digi-World.
Then something he had never seen before flashed through his head. A bright light was shown in front of him, as well as seven other silhouettes. They seemed familiar, yet unfamiliar at the same time. Then he looked a little closer.
"Sora?" Tai asked puzzled. He looked even closer, and saw that it was also the rest of his team. " What are you guys doing here? This doesn't look familiar."
"Tai, help me!" Sora said quietly. With that, she was sucked into the light around her. Then one by one, the same thing happened to the rest of the digidestined from his team, each screaming the phrase louder each time.
Then, the light was torn away, like a page from a book, only darkness surrounded him then. He started to run in the direction that he saw the last digidestined, but couldn't tell if he was even moving.
Then he heard a chilling, but all to familiar voice.
"No one to lead into battle little boy?"
Then, he felt something hard hit his whole body, the he blacked out.
Waking up from the dream, he found himself in a cold sweat.
"Could that have been real? Could he actually be alive?"
