Penny couldn't concentrate during her classes at all. Her mind kept wandering to that boy Tracy had introduced her to, that negro boy, Seaweed. Her mother would have a conniption if she knew her only child could not stop thinking about a boy, and a black boy at that. But there was something about him that Penny liked. She would be lying if she said there wasn't something about him that caught her eye and intrigued her. But she'd probably never see him unless she snuck into detention to see Tracy. Penny wanted to see Seaweed again. Know if there or something could be there between them. Penny smirked, deciding to do something she never dared before.
When the bell for class sounded, Penny didn't go to her class. Instead, she wandered down the hall to the detention classroom. Taking her lollipop from her mouth with one hand, Penny knocked on the glass with the other. Another negro boy opened the door for her. "Hi," she waved with a sweet smile on her pretty face. "I'm here to see Seaweed." And the lollipop returned to its place between her lips.
Hearing his name, Seaweed stopped mid dance move and turned to see that pretty blonde friend of Tracy's that always had a lollipop. With a smile, he sauntered up to the classroom door. Grabbing her hand, Seaweed pulled her inside. "What are you doing here, Baby?" he asked, his grin growing wider at the second. Feeling the heat and color rise in her cheeks, Penny shrugged unsure of what to say. Suddenly, another student in detention caught her eye with a dance move. A curious smile graced her lips and watched the dance trying to memorize the moves. Seaweed smiled watching her, seeming to know what she wanted. Taking both her hands in his, Seaweed began to move his hips in rhythm. Penny turned her attention back to Seaweed, watching him move. Then, she started to mirror his moves. "Yeah, that's it, Baby," Seaweed said encouraging her on, continuing to dance with her in detention. Soon, light conversation flowed between the two and Penny couldn't help but think that she might be sneaking into detention a whole lot more.
