I was seriously writing this in math class today. I was very bored.
"Go to Earth they said. It'll be easy they said."
The singing began again.
Peridot, not wanting to go to the Control Bridge just yet, ran through the huge array of cells. Come on, where are you? "I thought Jasper told you to stop singing!" she yelled as she ran past the singing gems' cell.
The singing stopped.
Suddenly she heard pounding footsteps, and thinking it was Jasper, she pressed a button with her limb-enhanced hand. The field opened and Peridot locked herself inside.
She leaned against the back wall and sighed.
"Peridot?" said a small voice from the corner.
Peridot turned, a scared look on her face. "Wh-what? I'm sor-"
Then she saw who it was and clapped her mouth shut.
"Peridot, you had better go to the Control Bridge. Jasper's going to be REALLY angry."
"Lapis, I-" Peridot gulped.
"What, you love me?" Lapis asked sarcastically. "Well if you loved me you wouldn't have trapped me here."
"IT'S NOT MY FAULT! You had some vital information and it was CRUCIAL that we find those clods! They destroyed my things. They are also probably going to destroy the Cluster!"
"What IS the Cluster exactly?" Lapis asked.
"That's classified information." Peridot said, turning up her nose.
"Ah-ha." Lapis said."So why did you want to see me?"
"I wanted to tell you that I love-like-I WANT you!" Peridot sputtered.
Lapis was about to make a snarky comment but everything she wanted to say came out in a messy jumble of random letters.
Peridot grabbed Lapis' hand to keep her from falling."Are you okay?"
Lapis nodded slowly.
"Can I hide you?"
"Hide me?" Lapis asked.
"I don't want Jasper to kill me, but you will most likely be shattered if I don't hide you." Peridot said.
Suddenly the ship shuddered.
"Uh oh. That isn't good." Lapis said.
But the ship eventually steadied.
"We are too late." Peridot said, looking into Lapis' eyes. "Listen, I have to get to the Control Bridge. If the ship is malfunctioning-"
"I understand." Lapis said. "Come back for me."
Peridot kissed Lapis passionately. Then she left the cell for the Control Bridge. "I love you, Lapis Lazuli.
