At Di Mera Mansion, Mimi knocked to Rex´s bedroom door.

"Rex, it´s me. Mimi, " she chirped.

"Go away," a muffled voice said.

"Rex, it´s me!"

"Go away! I can´t see you!"

Mimi opened the door and saw Rex laying on the bed, fully dressed.

"Rex, what..."

Rex almost jumped away from the bed.

"Mimi, didn´t I tell you to GO!"

Mimi closed the door very dramatically.

"I want an explanation! Rex, I DESERVE an explanation!"

Rex sighed. "Mimi, I know you deserve all the best in the world. Believe me, for that reason I love you and I am trying to protect you."

"Protect me... What do you mean?" Mimi tried to touch him, but Rex walked back to the bed and sit on it.

"I have blackouts. Horrible headaches and then blackouts." Rex looked Mimi. " I was out tonight, and I don´t remember where I was. There was mud in my shoes... why? Where was I?"

"And you think you may hurt me during your blackouts? Mimi said.

Rex turned away. "Yes. Go, Mimi. You don´t want a psychotic madman."

"Yes, I want!" Mimi took the chair and sat with him. "Hey, if you are psychotic, you have a better excuse than most people. for their behaviour".

Rex had to laugh. "Why do you want to involve to this DiMera madness?" he asked sincerely.

"Because this is not your fault! You want to protect me, that tells enough! l know you, Rex, I know the loving and sweet and mature and kind man, and I love him! I love you. Whatever happens, I will always love you. I want to help you through this."

Rex looked the hand Mimi showed to him and he took it. "You are my angel, Miriam Lockhart."

Mimi blushed. "And your soulmate, so I don´t let you go! First we go to the hospital, Rex. Whatever the reason, we will find it and we will beat it."
