The sun rise high. The bright warning light shone through the bracken that covered the warrior den. Bellwind, a gray and white young she-cat was sleeping next to Sandstorm, Mousefur, and Brightheart. Bellwind blinked open her eyes and squinted into the clearing. For some reason she did not feel like herself this morning.
When Bellwind was about to crawl out of the den, the other three she-cat warriors began to stir as well. Sandstorm was the next one up followed by Mousefur. "Hey, girls. Why don't we go on dawn patrol by ourselves this morning. Get away from the guys." Bellwind suggested. The other warriors looked stunned but then nodded happily as Bellwind lead them out the den.
The camp was already active when they appeared. The four she-cats trotted into camp noticingly.

Then, they headed for Firestar's den when he popped out. Sandstorm nuzzled him good morning. "Hey, do you mind if we take the dawn patrol?" she asked.
Firestar blushed and didn't know what to say for a minute. "Uh..sure...you can take the lead."
They headed through the gorse and up the ravine.
