Alone.

That's how she felt. No, that's what she was. If she had just transformed that day.. none of this would have happened. God, what an idiot she was. Why didn't she just transform? Ladybug's suit can withstand hits like that not her mom's clothes! But it didn't matter, it was her fault anyway. Just as she turned to pick up her notebook of designs her father came barging through her trapdoor, the hinges of the door snapping off as the small wooden door slipped to the floor.

"You didn't do anything I asked you to do today. God don't you know how much effort I put in to keep us in this damn house?!" He snapped, the bottle of alcohol in his hand was then thrown at her, which hit her in the forehead, creating a new cut.

Marinette's lip quivered and she nodded, her head hanging in defeat.

"I'm sorry Papa, I've just been really busy with school work and-"

Smack! His large hand slapped her across the face, leaving her face red.

"Stop coming up with those excuses, Mari. Excuses will get you nowhere in life. You don't need anything more on your list stop adding on new things."

She knew what he meant by "list." He had a mental list of everything she'd done wrong so he can use it against her in the future. He finally left, and she sprinted to the bathroom to then pull a small blue razor out. She lifted her shirt to reveal her stomach then brought the razor to her skin.

For being a complete idiot all the time. (Cut)

For letting everyone I know and love down. (Cut)

For causing almost as many akumas as Chloe. (Slash)

The list continued, until blood ran steadily down her stomach, resulting in the appearance of being continuously scratched by a bear. That's when she heard a small yelp.

"Tikki! What are you doing in here?!" Marinette whisper yelled her kwami shaking as tears welled up in her big blue eyes. Everything started to spin, and she instantly felt cold. She stumbled back into her room and climbed up on her balcony, until she fell to the ground, her vision consumed by darkness.

"Marinette! No no no! Stay with me!" Her kwami started to sob. Fortunately, Chat Noir had been waiting nearby for a patrol and heard the crash as she landed. Curious, Chat Noir leaped over to the Dupain-Cheng's bakery, and felt his blood run cold. He was left staring at the bluenette, too shocked to move. Only to make it worse, there was a kwami sitting on her shoulder.

"M'Lady! Don't worry, I'll get you help!" He cried out, picking her up bridal-style and running across the rooftops.
