The Price of Freedom
Kagura opened her eyes. She sighed when she saw nothing but the bodies of countless demons. Her arms and legs ached from being bound in one position for days. Her lips were cracked and her throat was dry from lack of use. Her neck was sore and her head was pounding. Why was she here? Kagura had snuck out again on the moonless night. She knew she would never escape Naraku, but for now, a few moments of freedom was enough. When she came back, Naraku was furious. He bound her in the room where he hiding earlier. Kagura wasn't sure how long she had been down here. Kagura forced herself to believe long ago no one, not even Inuyasha, could free her from Naraku's evil clutches. She smiled coldly. So this was her fate? To be left to die here in this horrible place?
Kagura tried to move into a comfortable position, but her muscles screamed in pain. She finally gave up and let her body go limp. It was useless and she knew it. Her red eyes looked up to the wooden door when she heard a soft noise, getting louder by the moment. Her eyes were pierced by the firelight and Kagura brought herself to look at the one who opened the door. She looked at Naraku, her eyes hardening in anger. What could he possibly want with her, except to taunt or torture her?
"Kagura, have you had enough of this prison? Would you like to be free?" Naraku asked in a low voice. Kagura nodded, that was all she ever wanted was freedom. Naraku chuckled. "Well here is your freedom you long for." Naraku opened the palm of his hand and a small orb appeared. 'That's my heart! Is he giving it to me?' Kagura thought, knowing it was too good to be true. As her heart slowly took form, Naraku squeezed it. Instant pain shot through Kagura body, making her scream in agony. Naraku squeezed it harder, enjoying her pain thoroughly. Kagura writhed, wanting to dissapear. Finally, Naraku stopped.
'Is he done with me?' Kagura thought. "Would you like your heart now?" Naraku asked her, a horrible smile on his face. Kagura nodded, to tired and weak to fight. Suddenly, she felt a beating in her chest. Her heart was there in her body. Kagura was not easily fooled though. She knew Naraku well enough to know he would not give Kagura her heart freely. Naraku stepped agonizingly slow down the steps towards Kagura. She knew it was over, her time had come. Naraku smiled even wider when he saw the look of defeat on Kagura's face. "Anything you would like to say before I destroy you Kagura?" Naraku asked.
"Yes, I do. Thank you." And that was all she said. She said thank you because Naraku would finally let her go, giving her the freedom she desired. Naraku sneered. Tentacles appeared and pierced Kagura's body and released miasma into her blood. Kagura did not say or do anything as Naraku left, shutting the trap door behind him. As the room plunged into darkness, Kagura smiled weakly. 'I guess this is the price for freedom.' And that was her last thought before her head rolled back and she breathed her final breathe.
And that's the end. I hoped you liked! Sorry if it's not very good, but I just had to get that out.
