This wasn't happening.
She's dead.
She's gone.
Even though Gouenji said this to himself, the figure standing in front of him was all too present. The dark eyes that looked up and bore into his own were too real. She gave him a smile, just like she used to, and he KNEW. He knew that it was her.
He tried to swallow. He couldn't.
"Big brother." Her voice was soft and happy, yet he felt sick at the sound of it.
He tried to say her name. Alas, though his mouth moved, no sound came close to leaving his lips.
She giggled. Though she made direct eye contact with him, her eyes were completely, utterly blank.
"Big brother. I'm so lonely. Won't you join me?" Ever-so-slowly, she outstretched a pale, shimmering hand.
A sharp pang went through his heart. He missed her so, so much. It hurt so much to be without her. He could join her? Be together with her again?
Despite the pit in his stomach telling him that something was wrong, he reached for her hand.
"Yuuka..."
The moment his fingers brushed hers, her sweet, sweet smile turned into a grotesque grin.
No one heard him scream that night.
Yes, this is supposed to be vague. I hope you liked it.
