We get on the train together and as soon as we are left alone my arms find her waist and my lips find hers, when we break apart i lean my forehead against hers and just breath her in, memorizing that scent, knowing that from now on every moment with her is something i need to desperately hold on to. "Cato" she says, but before she can say anything else i stop her by kissing her once again
"Please don't say anything"
"Cato, we both know how this ends, with only one person standing"
"Then i will make sure it is you" she looks up and its almost as if there is fire in her eyes
"Cato don't you dare"
"I have to, i want to"
"You are not going to sacrifice yourself for me"
"Clove we both know that the only real competition is between districts 1 and 2, and after its only down to us four i will do everything in my power to make sure that they don't lay a hand on you"
"Cato i cant kill you, you know that"
"Then hopefully you wont have to"
"Cato if you die out there i wouldn't be able to function, don't you get that, I love you"
"I know, and that's why were going to stop talking about this"
"You cant ignore it, the games are happening, as of right now they have started and there is no escaping them"
"I know that, but right now were just going to enjoy the time we still have together"
"But i wont kill you, so if it comes down to it your going to have to kill me" i pull her in for another kiss and let that sink it, shes right she wont be able to kill me, and I'm as sure of it as i am of the fact that i cant kill her either. When she pulls away i look at her and smile
"Its okay, we will be alright"
Authors note- The characters that were used in this story do not belong to me, i sometimes don't put that in my stories and then my mind goes crazy and i think that i might get sued one day so that's why i added this, but anyway i was watching Hunger Games earlier and my Cato/Clove feels like exploded because i love them together and i just started thinking about what it would be like for them on the train, so this is just a quick oneshot, that's why its so short so sorry if you were expecting more.
