This is simply The Doctor wishing for his Donna.

Disclaimer: I obviously do not own anything Doctor Who, because I am not part of the BBC. Or I would be somewhere in Cardiff writing and thinking of new ways to kill Rory Williams. And then make him come back.

My name is The Doctor.
I am 904 years old.
I am the last Time Lord from the lost planet Gallifrey of the constellation Kasterborous.
I have fought many wars. Lost many loved ones.
I have few friends. I have countless enemies.
I have no family.

But once upon a time, I had a sister.

Her name was Donna Noble.

We met on Christmas day.
She had appeared in my TARDIS wearing her wedding gown, insisting that I was helping a friend of hers pull a prank on her.
I wasn't.

I took her home for her wedding, which had gone awry when she disappeared at the altar.
Robot Santa's followed us everywhere we went. Until we followed them, that is. They left a signal that lead us right to their leader.
A leader that killed Donna's traitor fiancé and tried destroying the earth from the inside out.

I brought her home. Even though she wouldn't travel with me at the time, she could see I needed someone.
She already knew me.

From the moment we met I knew something about her was different.
We were more than just strangers who had happened to meet.
We were strangers who were destined to meet.

Sometime later we found each other again. We were both investigating a company who planned on killing mankind for their own personal gain.
We stopped them of course. That's what we do.

It had turned out she had been looking for me. I was just lucky enough to find her twice.

We traveled the universe together.
Saving planets, freeing slaves, solving mysteries, fighting crime, causing trouble and making history.

I helped her hear the music of the universe.
Taught her to embrace the unexpected. To never stop looking, because there is always so much more out there to see.

She helped me too.

She helped me understand things I once knew. To forget things I wouldn't let go of.
To not be afraid of love, even if it is taken away from you.
She comforted me in my time of pain. She reunited me with the one I love.
She saved my life. Many a time. I would be dead without her.
She taught me to laugh when I thought I could never laugh again.
She filled a hole that had been empty for so long, I had forgotten what it felt like to be whole.

She saved hundreds of galaxies. Countless planets. Trillions of lives.

And she will never know my love for her.
Never know my name.
Never know how brilliant she is. Or what she meant to me.
Never know how much I miss her. How I wish she were here.

Donna Noble.

My human sister. My earthgirl.
I will always be your spaceman.
