"We really need to talk about that thing that happened Cas," Dean says, looking at his angel.
"What I thought we were going to put that behind us," Cas replies nervously.
"Cas we're going to have to tell Sam and Kevin eventually… it's not like we can really keep it a secret."
"Why can't we?"
"Sam won't like that, he's already going to be mad enough, how much worse do you think he'll get if we say nothing at all," Dean answers to Cas' puppy dog eyes.
"I don't know if I have the strength to tell them though," Cas admits, and he looks down at his hands while Dean walks over to him and kisses him on the cheek.
Dean puts his arms around Cas' neck and says, "it'll be okay, we're just blowing this all out of proportion."
"You can say that, Sam's your brother he won't stay mad at you, but what about me? I'm just the angel guy living here."
Dean sighs, and walks away from him, not knowing how to console Cas without making him worry even more. Sam and Kevin are reasonable people and he knows they won't stay mad forever but the immediate uproar is going to be a little scary. Sam is an understanding guy just… how understanding is he really?
Dean walks down to the kitchen a little later to see Kevin sitting at the table eating dinner and Sam rummaging around the cabinets looking for something.
"Hey Sammy, have you seen Cas?"
"Yeah earlier, he's probably in his room, why?"
Cas walks in at this very moment and looks at Dean with a scared edge in his eye like he knows that Dean was about to say something incriminating or blame it all on him. Throwing Cas under the bus would be mean, and they both know that but Cas is still afraid he'll do that anyway.
"Uh, we have to tell you guys something," Dean says looking at Sam and Kevin with stric severity.
"Oh no, what happened?" Kevin asks.
"It's not… it's just a little… what I mean to say is…"
Cas interjects as he sees Dean stumbling on his words. He grabs Dean's hand lovingly in his own and strokes his finger across the back of it and finally says, "We ate the last of the Oreos!"
Cas' heart beats uncontrollably as he realizes he's just told them the truth.
Sam looks at Dean and his brothers' boyfriend evilly while Kevin just gawks.
"How could you?" Kevin whispers.
"That's really low guys… I can't even look at you right now."
Dean ducks his head in shame but smiles at Cas anyway. He's so cute when he's being honest.
"Go to your room and think about what you've done!" Sam shouts.
Dean looks up and gives Sam a devious grin.
"Gladly," he says, and pulls Cas after him leaving Sam and Kevin to look at each other and roll their eyes.
"Are they going to ruin every Valentine's day like that? It's so inconsiderate."
