2015 Somewhere in the Tristan da Cunha Island, chain lays the remote training camp of The Chaste an elite group of mysterious warriors.
The current leader of the group a man known only as "Stick" has been protecting a boy named Jeffery. His past has always remained hidden from him by Stick however all that is about to change.
Jeffery's true name is Hikari Raven. Jeffery has been in hiding in Sticks care for the last 20 years at the request of his mother Aki Mashahiro. Aki only instructions to Stick were "If I do not return tell him the truth on his twentieth birthday.
"That was yesterday"
Jeffery and Stick sit drinking tea. Looking at Jeffery Stick said, "I brought you here to live at your mothers request 20 years ago..."
One of Sticks lieutenant's approached him whispering something in his ear. Looking at the man Stick said in his gentile manor, "Have her brought to me"
Looking at Jeffery, Stick said "As I was saying Jeffery your real name is Hikari Raven"
His hand trembled as the tea cup slipped from his hands the sound of a teacup shattering upon the floor broke the silence in the room, braking his trance as Hikari asked, "I have living family"
In his booming baritone voice the white haired Stick said, "Yes, you do..., I have sent for an associate to accompany you on your journey"
Wide-eyed Jeffery looked at the only father figure he has ever known asking him "You are sending me away?"
"No Jeffery..., I am sending you to your father..." Stick told him.
From behind Jeffery/Hikari a woman's voice said, "Stick you sent for me?"
The boy picked up the set of chopsticks preparing to use them as a weapon if need be. His actions do not go unnoticed by the woman telling Jeffery in a dead flat tone, "You wouldn't live long enough to use them boy"
Keeping her attentions on the boy, she said, "Stick has trained you well... but you didn't notice me until I was within killing range..."
Crossing her arms over her chest she stated, "if this were 7 years ago you would be dead boy"
Leaning ageist a wooden post she turned her attention to her once blind teacher kicking off the post she knelt asking, "Why am I here?"
"Ah Elektra... she is quite right Jeffery..." Stick said calmly
Sipping his tea Stick told Jeffery, "7 years ago the woman seated beside you was the best assassin money could buy"
Taking her position on the pillow, she watches her old teacher expertly follow the traditions of the ancient tea ceremony. Elektra turns her head indicating to young Hikari to wait for him to drink first.
Lifting his cup to drink Stick said, "You do remember"
With a weak smile, Elektra said, "I practice the ceremony myself Sensei"
Nodding to Elektra, Stick said to Elektra "Meet Hikari Raven... the last surviving air of Aki Mashahiro of the Black Dragon clans"
Elektra looked at Stick saying, "They offered me his contract two days ago" pointing to Hikari she said, "I told them I was no longer for hire"
Taking a sip of her tea Elektra stated "He has an open contract Stick..."
Smiling Stick commented to her, "That is why I sent for you Elektra...!"
Elektra gave Stick a sideways glance grinning at him saying, "Do you expect me to kill them all, like I did The Hand?"
Hikari who had only been observing this exchange in silence asked quizzically, "Excuse me Miss Elektra... what help are you going to be against the black dragon society?"
Elektra stopped mid-sentence and looked at Hikari telling him in a cold flat tone, "I have another name Hikari, one I don't like to use anymore..., Scarlet Wind... The black dragons gave me that name after I killed one of their grand masters"
Stick explained in a sincere undertone, "If Elektra came after you she was like the wind..."
Elektra took a moment to take a good look at Hikari stating, "You look like your father... can you fight like him?"
Setting her signature weapons aside "A set of razor sharp Sai's" Elektra told Hikari "This will not be a death match"
Moments Later taking her position on the floor Elektra stands in the center of an octagon six feet in circumference all the way around awaiting Hikari.
Stick understood his former pupils motives if Hikari could at least stand toe to toe with Elektra in combat he could at least survive a black dragon attack.
Stick spoke up proclaiming "Let's at least even the odds a little, both of you must fight blindfolded..."
Moving to tie the blindfold round Hikari's head he tossed the other to Elektra, who affixed it on herself.
Hikari took his position within the octagon.
"hajime-masu" Said Stick in a strong tone of voice.
Hikari instantly took an on guard position, but Elektra herself didn't move, she just stood there occasionally moving her head to ether the right side or Left. In the end Hikari's age and impatiens won out as he lunged at Elektra with a front ball kick, only to have Elektra dodge the kick.
Elektra was a bit more fortunate as her fingertips lightly tapped Hikari's face. What followed was a series of one strike and handed handed trapping maneuvers launched from both sides as the flow of the fight changed hands several times.
That is until Elektra herself did something that could have killed Hikari if she mis-judged the power and it wasn't timed right she struck the base of his scull with as little power as possible. She was trying to show him where he was open after all.
"YAME" Stick screamed in a shrill tone and the room froze, the underline tone in his voice let everyone know he was not happy.
"Remove the blindfolds" Stick spat.
"You cheated" Hikari said.
"Cheated" Elektra said sharply.
"Hikari, I don't know what stick had been telling you"
Leaning against a wooden post Elektra crossed her arms over her chest as said in a chiding tone, "That last maneuver is standard practice for a black dragon"
Stick told them he said in a curt tone, "While I may not approve of her methods… Elektra does have a point"
"I needed to assess your abilities, your classical martial arts fighting style is formidable but not practical."
Tilting his head in Elektra's direction, Stick said, "We will talk later"
"When you're fighting for your life Hikari there is no such thing as fair" Elektra told the boy as she turned on a dime and walk away.
"Sir… she is a killer" Hikari told Stick in a tight, thin tone of voice.
"If that were true Hikari you would not be alive right now, that last strike would have been a death blow" Stick told him,
