Happily Ever Beginnings…
Marie looked at him "I'm scared Logan what if I hurt her?"
The Professor answered for him. "Rouge it's important that we know if your powers affect her."
"Alright" she drew a deep breath and slowly placed her hand on the baby's head nothing happened. No one said anything then Marie just cried. Whipping her tears she apologized, saying. "Sorry…I just haven't touched anyone in a really long time."
"Its okay kid, Chuck what does this mean?" Logan asked a little confused.
"Well Logan I believe that Rouge having just been in labor caused her to be able to control her powers." Rouge looked over feeling extremely excited. "Or the baby could just be a mutant that has the power to repel her mothers ability."
"Marie come here." she comes and Logan places his hand on her face. Nothing happens…Marie laughs "I…can touch." The professor and Logan smile at this "does this mean I am no longer a mutant?"
"No Rogue I think it just means you are able to control your abilities now unlike before you can now just turn it on or off." She walks up to the professor "May I?" he nods and she does one of the things she's wanted to do since the first day she got her powers, bends down and hugs him, they both smile. Then she kisses Logan passionately, goes over picks up there baby kisses her on the head, and hands her to her father. Saying her thanks to the professor she holds hands with Logan's free hand and walks off with her new family and new life.
