She bounced out of the temple with her pink curls flopping down onto her back and falling gently onto her shoulders. Rose was in a particularly good mood today. She was feeling playful and just wanted to find the girls to have some fun with. Pass the fenced perimeter she could see the ocean was calm today and it was just calling out to her. She walked back in looking for someone to enjoy the day with. After minutes of searching she figured everyone was busy. No matter. She could go out alone. With a quick leap and a light flutter, Rose hopped over the fence and landed softly onto the sand on the other side; her light pink dress fluttering softly down by her sides.

The sand felt so strange. One thing she'd never get used to living here on Earth. She really enjoyed the beach, however. Pearl was always complaining of the smell but she relished in it. It was so fresh and nothing like anything back home. They had oceans, sure, but mostly rocky bottoms and no one went "swimming" as they called it here. Not for fun anyways.

Rose began to walk up the shore, slightly in the water, but not deep enough to wet her dress. Beach City was pretty quiet today and most definitely beautiful. The weather was perfect. Walking further up she heard a sharp twanging noise that rung through the air. Intrigued, she walked towards it. Coming off the beach she found the noise was echoing from the boardwalk. In the distance she could see a small stage with a banner hung across it "Mr. Universe…?" she whispered to herself. As she got closer music began to blast from the speakers. An electric guitar's strings were being strummed at by a seemingly short fellow on stage with hair as long as he was tall. She chuckled to herself and stood in the back of the empty chairs to listen to him play; every word and note chosen perfectly.

"Some say I have no direction.
That I'm a light speed distraction,
But that's a knee-jerk reaction.
Still this is the final frontier,
Everything is so clear.
To my destiny I steer.
This life in the stars is all I've ever known.
Stars and stardust and infinite space is my only home.

But the moment that I hit the stage,
Thousands of voices are calling my name,
And I know in my heart.
It's been worth it all of the while.
And as my albums fly off of the shelves,
Handing out autographed pics of myself.
This life I've chose isn't easy,
It sure is one heck of a ride.
At the moment that I hit the stage,
I hear the universe calling my name.
And I know deep down in my heart,
I have nothing to fear.
And as the solar wind blows through my hair,
Knowing I have so much more left to share.
A wandering spirit who's tearing its way,
Through the cold atmosphere.
I fly like a comet,
Soar like a comet,
Crash like a comet,
I'm just a comet."

With stars in her eyes, Rose felt so warm inside and something compelled her to clap her hands. Stunned, she clapped softly. Who was this cosmic man singing about places he's only visited in his dreams? She walked over to the table the man seated himself at and picked up one of the albums on the table, "Space train to the cosmos?" she said quizzically, hoping to spark a conversation. And so she did. They conversed for a bit and he made quite the impression on her. He ran off to his van to grab her a t-shirt, but it was getting late and she really should be getting back to the temple. Without so much as a good bye, Rose quietly leaped down to the beach and started her walk home; Stars in her eyes and the Universe in her heart.
