Rick Castle sat at Detective Kate Beckett's desk. Kate had told him to meet her at the precinct ten minutes ago, she was late, and now he was bored. So Castle decided to look through her email, but there was a snag when he couldn't figure out the password; he made a mental note to watch her sign in next time. Next, he looked at her desktop until he came across a file entitled "Cases".

Castle clicked on the folder and looked through the folder. There was one file titled "Open", six titled "Closed", three titled "Cold", and one titled "Unsolved". In the "Unsolved" file there was only one document. Castle moved the curser over the file and considered opening it, but before he could he heard Beckett walking down the hall. Castle quickly closed the windows and sat there looking innocent.

"What were you doing?" Kate asked when she reached her desk.

"Nothing, I'm devastated that you think I would be snooping or something of that nature." Castle replied, a half grin on his face.

"Oh, I can't even think of one reason you would be digging into my privet information. Wait, I can, you're basing a character off me!" Kate said in a sarcastic voice. "Now, get out of my chair, Castle."

"Yes, Ma'am." Castle said, giving her a mock salute as he moved to the chair next to her desk. "Do you really want to what I was doing?"

"I'm not sure, but you're going to tell me anyway, aren't you?"

"No, not if you don't want to know."

"Fine, tell me then; what were you doing, Castle?"

"I was waiting patiently for you."

Beckett rolled her eyes and opened her email; there was a message that said someone had tried to gain access with and invalid password. "Castle…" Kate said, glaring at Rick.

"Whatever it was, I didn't do it." Castle replied with a sarcastic smile.
