"Okay kids," Theresa said, "We're leaving. We'll be back by midnight. Alex is in charge"
"WHAT! I'm the oldest," Justin argued.
"Yes but you're still grounded for setting fire to Max's butt remember," Jerry pointed out, "Alex we'll pay you $10.00 for every hour we're out"
Alex laughed. This was going to be fun.
When Jerry and Theresa left Justin tried to go upstairs.
"Where are you going?"
"I have to study"
"Oh no you don't," Alex laughed, "You're going to sit here and watch TV with me"
"Alex you heard dad. I'm grounded. I'm not allowed TV, movies, desert or magic"
"Yep," Alex said, "but guess what. Dad is not here"
"That's really cool," Justin said, "but we could get in trouble"
"Yeah that would be a new thing for me," Alex said sarcastically
Max laughed.
"So what should we watch? Captain Jim-Bob is on"
"Are you serious," Justin asked
"Yeah," she said, "sit"
Justin sat down as Alex flipped on the TV.
"Who wants popcorn?"
"Me," Max said
"I can't," Justin said, "Don't forget I'm grounded"
"Don't forget I have the final say today," Alex said and zapped in some popcorn, "and I say EAT"
After awhile they all got board.
"Next up," Alex said, "We go to the movies"
"Alex don't you remember movies are one of the things that I'm grounded from"
"Justin don't you remember. Dad's not here"
"It's wrong to do this"
"It's wrong not to listen to your babysitter,"
"You have a point," Justin said, "can we see Weathergirl"
"Sure," Alex said, "Candy?"
"The kind you eat?"
"Yes Justin," Alex said, "the kind you eat"
"Remember I'm-"
"Shut up," Alex said
Justin shut up.
"Candy, candy that you eat
"Give us Russo's a tasty treat"
Justin's favorite candy appeared as if they had bought it already.
After the movie Alex announced they were going to the ice cream shop.
"Alex I am not allowed to have dessert" Justin pointed out
"Did we have dinner?"
"No?"
"Lunch?"
"No"
"Then it's not dessert," Alex said calmly
"Mom and dad won't approve"
"What else is new," Alex said, "They don't approve of a lot of things I do"
She zapped them over to the ice cream shop.
That day turned out to be awesome. Justin figured she would enjoy tormenting him making him do her chores whatever but his sister was really cool.
Later that day Theresa and Jerry got back.
"How was it?"
"It was really cool," Alex said,
"How did Justin behave," Jerry asked
"Perfect"
"Great," Jerry said, "Justin your grounding is over and Alex here's $10"
"Nice try dad but you were gone for 4 hours you owe me $40"
Jerry sighed and forked it over.
