Just a short story I made for a contest.
Disclaimer: You wouldn't believe me if even I said I owned it (Which I don't), ni?

A
lone creature sat in wait, in an otherworldly domain. It was waiting
for a worthy opponent that his master spoke of. It tried to keep its
thoughts focused on the upcoming violence. But this didn't last for
long. It was waiting for the opponent for quite awhile now, and
started to think of its past. Created as a champion to eternally
serve its master, it spent most of its life living for violence.
Nothing else mattered to it. It killed everything that dared
challenge it, and even things that didn't. It had no morals, no
honor, no guilt. Causing pain and bloodshed was what its life was
about.
It wondered who could be so strong that the master had
to resort to sending him out to handle. It must be worthy indeed. The
last time it faced a worthy opponent was years ago. After that, all
of the great warriors where either dead, working for its master, or
in hiding. More blood would be shed this day. Impatience was just
starting to grasp at it, when it suddenly felt something's presence
enter the temple. It knew it was time to get ready. Just like all the
other people it faced, it slowly transformed into most people's
worst enemy: Themselves.
The shadow creature without a name
was now in the shape of a Hylian. He was sometimes referred as Fairy
Boy, but best known as the Hero of Time. It felt the presence inch
it's way closer. Excitement filled the being. This was indeed someone
worth it's time. Two would soon be in the room. Only one was leaving.
The creature smiled.
