A/N: I really enjoyed tonight's episode. That's really all I can say. It was hilarious and wonderful, as always. The interns made me laugh. And I kinda wanted to hug Palmer. You know. :(
So yeah. This is like, right after the ending of the episode. Or, when they all go home. You know. Whenver. I need to get in bed haha.
Spoilers: 8.02 Worst Nightmare
Gibbs sat at his desk, watching as Conrad said goodbye to McGee and quickly dissipated from the bullpen. Tony and Ziva had already left, disappearing as quickly as they'd shown up. That left McGee in the bullpen, packing up his stuff.
Gibbs had seen the little relationship between Conrad and McGee. He'd seen how Conrad's attitude had changed during the case. Maybe the slight hazing had changed Conrad's attitude, and then he'd seen that NCIS wasn't as bad as he'd originally thought. Gibbs got the impression that Conrad wanted to get a lot of money for not much work. And somehow, either McGee or the case had changed Conrad's opinion.
Gibbs stood up, making his way over to where McGee stood. The agent was putting his bag onto his shoulder, and looked up as Gibbs walked over.
"Hey boss. I'm surprised you haven't disappeared too. Everyone booked it out of here. Especially Palmer. I don't think he's too fond of that new intern."
Gibbs laughed slightly, before putting his hand on McGee's shoulder.
"Good job with Conrad."
McGee looked slightly surprised.
"Thanks boss. I didn't think I did anything-"
"You hazed him McGee. You pulled a DiNozzo on him."
McGee smiled widely.
"I think DiNozzo enjoyed that."
Gibbs squeezed McGee's shoulder, making the man look at him.
"Good job."
Gibbs watched with a smile as McGee beamed proudly at his accomplishment before exiting the bullpen.
