"And this one?" He asked, fingers lightly grazing over my skin where the now faded bruise lingers, much like an unwanted tattoo. He looked up at me as if making sure it didn't hurt. I could definitely feel the slight warmth from his magic flowing from his fingers through the injury.
"A bat. I was talking about leaving to one of my friends from back home. Seb must have heard me, and then we were arguing, and..." I sighed, not wanting to say what was so painfully obvious. I shifted in my seat as I shook my head almost carelessly. "It's fine though, I've gotten away from him, and I guess I'm better."
Asra pulled himself from where he was laying in my lap. He reached up to push the dark strands of hair from my face. "Just because you're away from it now doesn't mean you didn't deserve it then." He smiled then, but the sadness in his eyes was something he could never have said in words. "What was his name again?"
"Sebastian Hall." Just saying his name left a sour taste in my mouth. I swallowed to try and get rid of it. Asra's expression suddenly turned dark and disapproving.
"I swear, if I ever see that bastard, I'm going to make him pay-"
"Shh." I gently put a finger over his mouth, telling him to be quiet. "There's no need."
"But, the things he did, I-"
"I'll kick his ass myself if the time comes, alright?" I grinned, and Asra returned the expression. His smile seemed to light up the room.
After momentarily distracting myself, I now noticed that he had sat up from his previous position and was leaning in to kiss my neck. He hovered for just a second to whisper into my ear. "Is this alright?" I gave a slight nod, and alluring warmth flooded my body as he pressed his lips to my skin. His arms slipped around to my sides. His hands left a burning trail across my back, following wherever he touched.
"Your magic feels like it's getting out of hand, Asra..." I breathed, my voice wavering only slightly. "Not that I don't enjoy it, and I'm sure you do too." I quickly clarified. I found my hands running up his neck and scalp, tousling his silvery hair as I pulled him into me even farther. He chuckled, slowly moving up towards my jawline, each kiss more affectionate then the last.
"Oh, I know exactly what I'm doing. I'm a magician, love. You'd be surprised at what I can do~" Now there's a tone in his voice that I hadn't heard often. His lips soon found mine, and I could taste the bitter sting of magic on his tongue. In fact, it was everywhere. Soft hands glided down my hips, thumbs catching on the hemline of my pants. His knees were on either side of my thighs, and all the while I'm struggling not to go soft underneath the feel of his body on top of mine. He always knew just what to do to make me weak. Hell, he was doing it right now. Even through the fabric of my underwear, I could feel the power spilling from his fingertips. He drew back from the onslaught of hungry kisses, purple eyes opening to meet my gaze.
"You're still alright with this?" He searched my face, looking for any sign of remorse. Consent was always high on his list.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He began to lean back in before I interrupted the action. "I'd actually like to stay here, if that's alright. Just kisses and cuddles. I don't... I don't think I'm ready for anything serious yet." I almost sounded worried. But the doubt was soon wiped away when he smiled reassuringly.
"That's absolutely alright with me." He kissed my forehead gently, hands leaving the top of my pants to settle around my waist. I giggled at the tickling sensation, shoving him playfully only to be met with his airy laugh.
The rest of the night blurred into passionate kisses and feeling safe in Asra's embrace, eventually leading to a long nap filled with magical dreams. It was the first time in a while that both parties were content in each other's arms.
