Never Doubt That I Love You

Summary: Thor and Loki bask in post-coital bliss and Thor asks an important question. Thor/Loki; bit of smut and fluff. Short one-shot.

The resounding cry from both warrior and trickster echoed around Thor's chambers as both men collapsed against each other in the bed, breathing harsh and bodies slick with sweat. This had become a regular thing for both men; letting all their troubles melt away from within the thunder god's chambers, rutting like animals on the mattress, calling each other's name out as loud as they could, wondering why on Earth they hadn't been discovered yet. Thor's breath against Loki's neck makes him shiver with delight as the sweat cools on his hot body, a whimper escaping his lips as Thor pulls himself from his brother, both spent.

It takes them a few moments to calm their breathing before Loki is moving into his brother's embrace, wrapping a hand around Thor's wrist to bring his arm around him, holding him close. Thor pulls the sheets and furs up to their waists, ignoring that fact they were already too hot and didn't need any blankets. Loki ran his long fingers through his brother's long blonde hair, watching it as it fell from his grip as quickly as he gathered it. Thor presses one simple kiss to Loki's collarbone, listening to Loki groan gently. Thor knew his lips were his brother's weakness; he could make Loki come undone with a few simple kisses, just as much as he would come undone with Thor's lips wrapped around his cock. Loki pulled Thor as close to him as he could, their limbs wrapping around each other's sensually.

"Loki?" Thor's voice was no more than a whisper.

"Hmm?"

"Do ... do you love me?" Loki opened his eyes and looked down at his brother, who had his own eyes closed. The trickster scratched his fingers over Thor's beard, contemplating his answer. Of course he loved him, how could Thor think any different? "Loki?"

"Why do you ask?" Loki asked, turning over to face his brother, Thor's eyes flickering open once more to stare into his brother's green orbs.

"You just never say," he said. "I tell you often, whenever we are alone. I even told you tonight before we coupled. But you never reciprocate. Why is that?" Loki was silent again. Thor expected him to say it but Loki found he wasn't a romantic being. It didn't come naturally for him. Sometimes his feelings got the better of him, just like it had done before when he started making love to Thor. It would never have happened if he'd kept his mouth closed. But now he wouldn't have it any other way. Suddenly, Thor was sitting up, moving out of Loki's embrace. The trickster moved with him.

"Where are you going?" he asked, disappointed Thor was moving.

"You obviously cannot express how you feel. It hurts me, Loki. I tell you ..."

"I love you." Thor froze, as if the words were wrapping themselves around him, trying to get him to understand them.

"You cannot just say that to please me ..."

"I'm not, Thor. I do love you. When I let my true feelings out, something bad always tends to happen. I did not want that," Loki said, wrapping his arms around his brother, pulling him down onto his naked chest again. "Please believe me when I say it though. I love you."

"Loki," Thor whispered before pressing kisses all over his alabaster skin, peppering them over his neck and chest.

"Never doubt it, Thor. Never doubt that I love you."

Just a short thing. Hope you like. :) xx
