Author's note: I just read the newest chapter for Fairy Tail and suddenly...there was a Bunny on my lap. XD Anyway, this is just a quicky. (Bad readers, not what you think!) I wrote it in a few minutes. It has a few spoilers so if you haven't read so far yet... DO IT! It's your duty as fan of the manga! Enjoy the 'quicky'.

One Day
By Misty_Mina
The first round of the Magic Tournament was over. Gray made it last place with zero points. Juvia made at least one point and took the lead in their intern bet. The bet Gajeel was keen on winning. The losing team had to do whatever the winning team wanted. The Iron mage thought the stakes were high, but acceptable.
Makarov never said anything about 'winning the Tournament.' Just that the better team gets to choose the penalty for the losers. Even if team B would only reach third place as long as they were better than team A that was good enough. It suited him just fine.
It meant he could make the 'Bunny Girl' do whatever he wanted. Being his dancer on stage was only one of many ideas.
Going out with him would be next. And he would do everything to convince the blonde that he was the better choice. Much better than that sad excuse for a Dragon Slayer. Or that aloof ice mage.
The little Bunny had caught his interest when she was up on stage with him, even if she didn't really mean to be there. Her dancing wasn't exceptionally great, but the way she moved her body was hypnotizing. It was the sole reason why Gajeel had forgotten about his lyrics and had to improvise by humming. Thankfully the shades hid his stare well, because he was sure he'd been stripping the Stellar mage with his eyes.
Since that time he'd been a bit obsessed with her. Lucy Heartfilia was in his opinion the perfect girl. Tall, perfect figure, smart, strong for a holder mage type, had spunk and on occasion packs quite a punch.
Granted he'd considered Levy as well, but she was much too timid to speak her mind clearly. A trait which was necessary around him. Plus she was too fragile. Gajeel would've felt guilty for every touch.
Besides that, she had quivered in fear of him for months. Why should she give him the time of day? Being with him would be her greatest nightmare coming true. No, Levy needed a soft idiot, who would pamper her all day. Something he wasn't really capable of.
Lucy on the other hand had been suspicious. Not afraid. Not scared to the bone. Admirable! Someone who had the guts to speak their mind around him and not flinch for every glare he shot. He hadn't expected it. Not from her. But someone who could take down a freak like Bixlow certainly deserved some respect from him.
Maybe he was in love. Maybe he was just obsessed. And maybe, he was just a pervert. It didn't matter. As long as Team B would win this, he could be the devil for all he cared. The others of his team could have the rest of the losers. But the blonde would be his for twenty four hours, period!
All he needed was a single day.
One day to see her dance again. One day to ask her. One day of showing her what he felt.
To hell with fame, with money and the rest of the world. That's not what he was here for!
Conquer the Arena!
Defeat his enemies!
Beat every game!
All this for one day...

End
I must say, I liked the idea of Lucy and Gajeel, but I never thought I would write anything about them. In my mind there was always Levy and Gajeel. So, yeah...surprise. Hope you liked it. I'll update my other fics later since I have something planned for Valentines... and I still need to write it... *sweat drops* Review onegai.
