AN: This is my first attempt at a Yu-Gi-Oh! poem, and it's a praise song. I initially wrote this in an English lesson, but decided to share it here. Please review and tell me what you think!

You are

A shadow to me in the nighttime,

My warmth, my shield and my sword.

You are

The searing flames of frozen fire to me,

Sharp and soft, yielding and unfaltering, radiant and deadly.

You are

An ocean to me, spread wide like the night sky,

A vast eternity, churning beneath the surface, and never once still.

You are

The lightning bolt in the thunderstorm to me,

Guiding my path and creating your own; my compass in the realm of shadows.

You are

The pen on the empty page to me,

A silent struggle, and every story left untold.

You were

A secret to me,

The unturned stone, the uncharted sea, and unknown to the very end.

AN: Yeah, for a first attempt it's not very good. It's mostly just a bunch of clumsy metaphors used to describe the three Yamis- YYugi, YBakura and YMarik. I hope you enjoyed it, and knew what it was I was trying to convey.
