Lollipop Sunshine

Morning comes with reddish light,

Drives away the touch of night.

I've woken up, here in the sky,

And let out tired, weary sigh.

Been doing this since dawn of time,

Have seen the crazy to sublime.

Can't take off a single day,

Have to keep the night away.

Lifeforms scuttle down below,

Appreciation, they don't show.

Don't say thanks, don't even care,

Just live their lives so unaware.

A holiday, too much to ask?

Can I hand this job to fellow stars?

Alas, I can't, per job description,

Monotony is my prescription.

So I, the sun, force a pained smile,

While looking down at world reviled.

One day I'll fade, I'll show them all,

This "amazing" world of cat Gumball.
