Edit: This story was first published in 2013 - its now 2017 (of editing this) and I want to go over and edit my mistakes and add more, not much and the plot hasn't/won't change at all.
Sonic and crew belong to SEGA! I own nothing!
It was a cold and cloudless night it Station Square. Miles 'Tails' Prower and Sonic the Hedgehog were walking down a quiet street. They just stopped Dr Eggman from taking over the world, yet again. Tails looks up at the sky, there was a full moon and it was bright.
"What is it?" Sonic asks.
"Look at the moon." Tails replies.
Sonic looks at the sky.
"Yeah, it's beautiful and there are so many stars tonight." Sonic says.
"The night sky is so amazing." Tails says.
Sonic chuckles.
"Yeah, it is bro." Sonic whispers.
Tails looks at him. Once at Tails' house, Sonic yawns as they walk inside.
"Home at last." Tails whispers.
"Man, I am so tired. Stopping Eggman took a lot out of me this time." Sonic admits.
Tails smiles.
"Me too, Eggman can get so annoying. I don't understand why he tries. He knows we are going to stop him in the end." Tails explains.
"Yeah, he never learns. He thinks he can win but he can't. I don't know why he tries, he should just give up." Sonic says.
Tails chuckles.
"What I do know is, I am going on a holiday, I might go for three weeks this time." Sonic admits.
Tails looks at him shock, then smiles.
"Okay then. Have fun!" Tails says smiling.
"Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it." Sonic tells Tails.
Sonic then place his hand on top of Tails' head and rubs it. Tails chuckles.
"Yeah, I know." Tails says smiling.
Sonic pulls his hand back.
"Well, you know where to find me if you need me." Tails tells him.
"I know bro." Sonic says smiling. "I better go, see you in three weeks." Sonic says, then runs off in a blur.
Tails sighs as he closed and locks the front door.
"Bye Sonic." Tails whispers softly. 'He forgot, again.' Tails thinks to himself as he looks around.
Tails takes a deep breath. Doesn't matter, he better head to bed.

Sonic made it to his small apartment and looks around the dark room. He then closed and locks the door, siting his keys in a bowl on the by his door. He then walks into his room and sits down on his bed. He sighs, remembering Tails' face when he says he was leaving. Something is wrong.
'I'll go to bed early and head to see Tails tomorrow before I leave, I know he is upset but why?' Sonic thinks to himself as he takes his shoes off.
He then leis down and sighs.
'Maybe I should stay here with Tails instead of going away. Maybe hang out with Tails, it's been so long since I have done that.' Sonic thinks as he rolls onto his side.
He smiles as he closed his eyes.
'Yeah, that's the plan.' he tells himself.
Sonic quickly open his eyes to a creek. He got up and looked around, not seeing the two red eyes behind him. He then felt a sharp pain in his neck. Before be could turn around, he falls unconscious. Metal Sonic was standing over Sonic, holding a needle. He puts the needle away.
"Dr Eggman is waiting." Metal Sonic says, throwing Sonic over his shoulder.
Metal Sonic walks to the front door. He grabs Sonic's keys and walked out, locking the door behind him.
