It is a whole week holiday for marine, but not for Smoker and Tashigi.
Kuzan gave them a secret task, and they would have to accomplish it at the end of this month.
It is the first time for Tashigi to be alone with Smoker, she kept worry that she could not do well.
Also, she was excited about going out with the one she loved.
They first got to the specific island which the instruction said. After they arrived, it is midnight already.
They hurried got in to a hostelry, but found only one double room left.
"I would slept on the sofa, just check in" Smoker said.
"Huh…..nothing to worry about….."Tashigi thought.
The host was so nice that took lots of foods to serve them. Because they had been busy for all day, Smoker was starved that he finished the meal rapidly. On the other hands, Tashigi was worried about sleeping with Smoker in the same room that she did not eat anything.
Later on, they got into the room. Smoker was so tired that he fall asleep as he lied down.
Smoker did sleep nicely on the floor, but Tashigi could not fall asleep.
She kept thinking about Smoker, and did not know the mind of him.
She started to observe the snoring Smoker, it seems that it is the first time for her to look at him so close and so quite.
All of a sudden, a stranger rushed into their room. The stranger searched for Smoker's situation, and tried to attacked him.
Tashigi quickly grabbed her Shigure and stopped stranger's attack.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Tashigi asked.
The stranger did not answer her question and started to fight with her.
"Captain Smoker! Please wake up! We are under attack! Captin!" Tashigi yelled and she noticed that Smoker seems to be lost in a swoon.
"He won't wake up. Young lady. We have put some medicine in the food you eat just now. Hahaha,I must killed Smoker tonight" the stranger said with his evil smile.
"How come….what should I do…..ohhhh, I have to stay calm... It is always Smoker the one to protect me, but it is my turn now!" Tashigi said to herself and hold her sword tide.
The stranger fight with Tashigi for awhile. Tashigi had to defect the stranger and protected Smoker at the same time, she felt that it was so hard for her that she could not handle it anymore.
Without attention, Tashigi's right arm was injured. She felt frustrated and tried to kept herself concentrate.
Tashigi supported her right arm with the left hand and dragged Smoker with her right hand, trying to get out.
Under the fierce attacks, the wound Tashigi got was getting more and more.
"I can't do it…." Tashigi thought in her mind.
Tashigi gave the last attack with her remained strength, and pushed Smoker out of the window to downstairs at the same time.
She closed her eyes and ready for her end of life.
Suddenly, wisps of smoke curled in the air and surround her rapidly.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Smoker stood in front of her.
"You are too weak! Idiot! " Smoker said to Tashigi.
Tears sprang up in Tashigi eyes, and she felt safe.
As the stranger saw Smoker woke up, he tried to run away immediately.
"I will handle this Villain! White Snake!" Smoker yelled and a bank of smoke came out to attack the stranger.
At a stroke, the stranger was caught by Smoker.
"He is the member of the opposition rebels, also the organization Kuzan talked about…Did't I told you to read the information clearly before mission?" Smoker scolded Tashigi.
Tashigi kept silence and was not dare to raise her head.
"But….you did a great job however.." Smoker said and lied on the sofa after saying.
Tashigi's face was full of smiles.
