A/N: I'm not sure what this even is or why I wrote it. If it doesn't make sense to you it doesn't make sense to me either. I just needed to post something. But whatever. If you enjoyed, don't just favorite, follow as well because if it's liked enough I might write an update in Gamzee's POV thing... And MAYBE a sequel update chapter. It's not guaranteed so don't get your hopes up.
(This A/N is almost longer than the actual fic so I'm gonna shut up now and let you read.)

I DON'T OWN HOMESTUCK- YOU HAD BETTER BE THANKFUL FOR THAT.

It wasn't even 2 in the morning when the call came. Gamzee's voice was slurred in Tavros's ear, not even the Taurus's groggy brain being able to decipher the words being spoken to him. They had a conversation of nonsense, muttered grunts and groans before Tavros was actually able to wake up.

He stretched his limbs slowly, momentarily removing the sounds of giggling from his ear. "What is it, Gamzee...?" he asked once more, focusing in on his words. The answer he received was still jumbled and slurred, but he could make it out as something close to "come get me".

After few reassuring words that Tavros would take care of his best bro, he hung up and shuffled over to get some clothing on. His body was stiff and heavy as he pulled on something casual and easy to slip out of once he got back home. He went out the door after splashing some water on his face, making sure not to forget his phone and to lock the house.

The bar wasn't too far from his apartment, so driving wouldn't necessarily be an option. However, somewhere in his foggy mind, he realized that it would be hard to get a drunken Gamzee home safely.

Tavros tucked his chin into his jacket as he walked, shivering lightly from the cold. He sped up his pace as his eyes roamed the various lights of the quiet town. A few cars zoomed past, but he paid them no mind. He was focused on getting Gamzee home safely and crawling back into his warm, cozy bed.

The thought sounded marvelous, but the thought soon faded as he approached the bar. He recognized an ambulance car and a few men hauling a stretcher into it. The Taurus rushed over in panic. This certainly wasn't good- oh... Oh.

There lie Gamzee, his expression peaceful- but barely readable as it was covered in blood, his head smashed in along with the rest of his body. Tavros's breath hitched in his throat and he covered his mouth, staring at his friend in shock and utter panic. God... 'tHIS IS REALLY HAPPENING,,, iSN'T IT,,,?'

He blinked, but the image of Gamzee was already burned into his mind. He would have to be dead. No one could survive that... No one. Tears threatened to leave his eyes as he screwed them shut, his head lowered. A few sobs shook his small frame, leaving him weak and his sight blurry once he looked up again.

Yeah... Getting him home safely would be hard... If he was dead.

Tavros groaned quietly to himself, and turned around to walk back home, seeing as there was nothing else he could do. Various images of moments he's had with the Capricorn flashed through his head as he crossed the street in a haze.

His mind didn't register the sound of screeching tires and horn honk. He did, however, register the amount of pain his entire body was in before he faded to black, the final beats of his heart echoing in his ears and a certain male's voice.

"Love you Tav."
