You see? Miracles do happen!

"You dolt! How dare you! Come back here this… ow!" cried an angry redhead, clutching her foot while swearing at a rather alarming rate.

Meanwhile, a boy of seventeen was seen running down the hallway and into the Gryffindor common rooms, tears of laughter streaming down his defined cheekbones. Said boy collapsed heavily onto the velvet couch, causing his studious friend to bounce up suddenly.

"Padfoot! What's with all the running? You haven't been out to Quidditch, have you? You can't afford to miss out on any more of your homework! We have our NEWTS this year!" Remus began, waving his hands madly. Unfortunately, though, his rather heavy textbook flew out of his forever-moving hands and landed with a strongly audible thump on Sirius' head.

"Moony! Sshh! All I did was sit down, rather out of breath, on this seat here!" With that statement, he gestured to the couch with a knowing look. "And what do I get? A bruise on my head! Now all the girls won't like me anymore!" he pouted at Remus.

Remus sighed and sat back down, knowing immediately that something was up.

"What did you do this time, Sirius?"

Sirius puffed out his chest, thinking back to his stroke of genius.

"Well, here's what I did…" recounted Sirius.

Not for the first time that night, Remus sighed heavily and prepared himself for a late night's storytelling.

In the Heads' Common Room

Lily miraculously made it to the Heads' Common Room, only to find the least likable person (in her opinion) waiting for her with a trademark smirk on his face. At least, that's what she thought it was. After all, one couldn't really see clearly if Sirius Black, the stupid git that he was, had charmed one's eyesight so that one was almost blind!

"Oh, go away Potter, I don't have the time nor the patience for your jokes right now!" the Head Girl exclaimed, swiping her hand at her eyes in high hopes of making her eyesight better, only to fail miserably at the task.

"What's wrong with you, Evans? You look… weird." James commented. As he was soon to find out, this was a particularly terrible comment to make to a girl who had recently been a victim of his best friend's pranks.

"James Potter! Do you think I care that I look weird at the moment! You insufferable prick, you make me sick! All I want is to be able to see again!" Lily screamed, her last words turning into sobs. She slid down the wall and cried, unaware of the shocked look on James's face.

Without hesitation, James ran to Lily, placing his arms around her and offering her comfort and support. They remained that way for several moments, safe in each other's arms. All of a sudden, though, James released the redhead, having had a brilliant idea.

"Hey, Evans, I know! You can borrow my glasses!"

He took the spectacles off his face and handed them to the bewildered girl, who stared at the object, stunned beyond belief that Potter would do something like this for her.

"Go on, Lily, put it on! I don't need them. I know what you look like anyway," James told her excitedly.

Lily placed the glasses on her face, pushing them up her nose to get a better view of her surroundings. There, in front of her, stood her angel. She gasped, for this angel was none other than Potter! Filled with elation, Lily felt that she could have kissed James for his kind deed, so that was exactly what she did.

To James's credit, he returned her display of affections with far more zest than she could have expected!

Did anyone like that? Okay, if you did, please review. Now THAT would make me happy!
