Hi, this fanfic was something I couldn't help but write because I'm going through the same thing right now. Trying to forget a guy who's perfect in every concievable way is the most difficult thing in the world. And well all know Will is beyond perfect (: Ah. But alas, I must stay faithful to my Jem.
William Herondale was much to hard to forget.
Tessa had tried, oh had she tried. At every meal she would refuse to meet eyes. Every attempt at conversation from him she shied away from. Every time he walked into the room she would walk out. All of these attempts were quite fruitless, however, because every time she read a wonderful poem or saw something that reminded her of the stunning blue of his eyes she would fall back into a spiraling depression.
Of course, Will couldn't be ugly. She remembered a particular incident when she went down to the weapons room to fetch a knife to practice and came across him practicing his sword play. His black shirt outlining each muscle on his chest. The intesity etched all over his face. His tan face dripping with perspiration. Even in this frazzled state, she realized, he was beautiful.
Of course, Will couldn't be an illiterate fool. She recalled another incident where she had made her daily trip down to the library only to find him reading the particular book she'd gone down to fetch. His eyebrows were screwed up in concentration. His form hunched of the desired piece of literature. His dark hair falling across his face. She had hurried out the room blinking furiously in an attempt to stop the tear flow.
Of course, Will couldn't pretend not to care about her. She called to mind a scene where she had just finished eating, and in her hurry to get away from Will she had tripped over Henry's chair and fallen flat on her face. A strong pair of arms pulled her up, and instead of seeing the pure silver eyes of Jem staring back at her, she found the worried blue one's she constantly dreaded. She allowed herself one minute of being held in his warm arms and then quickly stood up and dismissed all questions of her wellfare.
Will was gorgeous. Will was learned. Will cared about her. Resisting him killed her. But when she looked into those exhausted silver eyes, she couldn't help but keep resisting.
Okay, I hated the ending... But I ran out of Ideas...
Anyway, hope you loved it! R 'n' R!
