In Vert's room, he writes down his journal about his life and his special childhood friend.
Dear Journal: After I spent my life of being lonely I felt scary of being lonely. But before 13 years passed, I meet a boy who is very special… Maxwell McGrath. That kid was lonely too, like me. We were so close each other… it was like I was Max's older brother and he was like my little brother. Also best friend too. But something happen to me… I was struck by a truck when it almost hit Max. I saved his life and I took the hit for him. I was badly injured and I was sent to a hospital. After my injuries were recovered… well except my broken left leg. My leg is still hurting me every time I walk around, running too fast, and also driving my car. My teammates are kept wondering of what happen of my past. After I told them, they were quite very shock.
By the time later… Max and I were play a game when Max saw a rabbit hopping pass by and he started to chase it. I went after him and my leg still hurting me but I kept following Max and that rabbit lead Max and me into the Salt Flats. When I lost sight of him, I called out to him. Then I went to the corner of the canyon pathway I called out again then saw him hiding behind the big boulder. I lead him out of the canyon and that's when Molly (Max's mother) and Sheriff Johnson (my day care watcher) found us. About 5 weeks later… Max and Molly are moving to their new home: New Mexico. That place is kinda far from Arizona. Max's uncle is there so his mother decided to go there to stay with him. But Max doesn't want to. He wanted to stay here to be with me. But I told him it's alright even were separated each other. So we made a promise and I bought two special friendship bracelet for me and Max. One is red and another is blue. I gave the red bracelet to Max and the blue one with me. So we won't forget each other no matter how far we are.
By the next day, I bid a farewell to Max and his mother have already moved away to their new home and our relationship was broke. I felt so sad after they left and once again… I was lonely again. 13 years passed, I grew up now and Max… I dunno how's he doing but I'm sure he's doing fine to his new home. After I become the leader of the Battle Force 5 I still have the blue friendship bracelet with me and the red one is with Max. I still felt sad after we were separated and we don't see each other again. But someday… we will see each other again.
P.S. Max… I always be your big brother. And you always be my little brother.
After Vert finished writing down his journal he placed it down on the deck, left his room and went to the Hub's command station. Next to his journal was a picture of young Vert and Max hugging each other brotherly.
