A/N: Set a while after the 12/11/05 episode. Just because Pollack failed the test and I don't think Woody would have. (If you're wondering what test: someone told Jordan that you know it's love if you only see yourself in someone else's eyes and they see themselves in yours. Pollack saw "someone who wanted to get drunk". This is about what happens when she asks Woody.)

"Hey, Jordan. What do you have for me?" Woody pushed through the swinging doors and came to stand across the autopsy table from her.
"Alicia White, age 24. Died of a single gunshot to the back of the head. I'll have to do a full autopsy to tell you more." She snaped gloves on. "Want to watch while you wait?"
"Sure." Woody stepped back a few inches. He tried to sound casual as he said, "So, haven't seen Pollack around lately."
Jordan raised a magnifying glass. "Yeah. Well..." she bend over the head wound. "He spent a little too much time going after my friends."
"Can you believe he thought we slept together?"
At that, Jordan's head snapped up. "He did?"
Woody looked uncomfortable. "Yeah, he did.
She looked at him for a minute, then carefully put down the magnifying glass. "Woody, would you me a favor?"
"What?" He sounded suspicious, but she didn't blame him.
"It'll only take a minute, and you can do it from where you're standing." She pulled off her gloves and moved to stand in front of him.
"Ok..." He braced his shoulders as if for impact. "What do I do?"
"Nothing too hard. Just... look me in the eyes and tell me what you see."
He leveled a pair of slightly confused eyes on her and she held her breath.
"I just see myself. Why?"
Jordan grinned up at him. "No reason." She hesitated, then said, "Woody? I know we've had our issues in the past, and I know I've hurt you and pushed you away... but I'm going to ask you something that you're going to find weird, and you don't have to answer now, bu I need to do this to prove that I'm done with my commitment-phobia, so I thought we could just leave it and open-ended, no-time-limit-thing..."
"Jordan." Woody cut off her rambling. "Just ask me, already."
"Fine." She took a deep breath and steadied herself. "Woodrow Wilson Hoyt, will you marry me?"
A/N: Hah. Bet you didn't expect that!
