Winnipeg Proposal
Harry raced up the stairs of the Burrow. His heart was pounding, and he kept wiping the sweat off his head. Opening the door to the room on the first floor landing, he pulled out a blindfold. Inside the room, Ginny was laying down on her bed, reading a book.
"Hey," Harry said softly.
"Hey," she replied, sitting up.
"Do you trust me?" Harry asked.
"Of course," Ginny answered. She got up and kissed him softly, "Why?" Smiling, Harry grabbed her hand, and with a 'pop', they apperated away. Ginny opened her eyes to see a sign that said 'Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg Canada.'
"Why are we here?" Ginny asked. Harry didn't reply, but took her hand and led her up a hill. There was a blanket and a picnic basket.
"Sorry fore whisking you away so suddenly, but I just had to do this," Harry told her.
"Why Canada?" Ginny asked. Harry shrugged, and opened the basket.
"I know you already ate, so I have whipped cream and strawberries," he said. Ginny gasped, and smirked.
"What is the occasion?" she asked.
"What, can't I take a pretty girl out sometime," Harry defended. Ginny raised her eyebrow; Harry usually wasn't like this, so Ginny knew something's up. Smiling, Harry took out a strawberry, and dipped it in whipped cream. He then extended his arm out to Ginny. She plopped down next to him, and took it in her mouth. After exchanging strawberries, with a few kisses, Harry stood up and waved his want towards the night sky. Ginny watched as certain stars became brighter. Soon, she could make out words. Ginny, Will You Marry Me? Harry turned around, and knelt down on one knee.
"Harry," Ginny breathed.
"Ginny, you've helped me get through bad times, you kept me from closing in on myself after the war," Harry said, "I love you, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Ginevra Weasley, will you marry me?" Harry took out a ring with a gold band and a small emerald. Ginny was shocked; it had only been a year since they got back together after the war.
"Yes," she said, "Yes, I'll marry you!" She flung her arms around Harry and kissed him passionately. When they surfaced, Ginny was crying, and Harry was grinning. He slipped on the ring, and hugged his new fiancé.
"Wow Harry, I sure wasn't expecting that," Ginny sighed.
"Good, you weren't supposed to," Harry grinned.
"We have to tell everyone," Ginny said.
"Your brothers are going to kill me," Harry groaned.
"Don't worry, I'll kill them first, if they even think of it," Ginny murmured.
"Thanks," Harry smirked. They laid down on the blanked, with Ginny admiring the ring.
"You know it was my mothers," Harry said quietly.
"Then it's even more special to me," Ginny replied. She snuggled close to Harry, and stared up at the night sky.
"You know, if I got a star every time you made me smile and feel loved, I would own the night sky," Harry whispered.
A/N: I got this idea from watching AVMP way to much, when Harry sings Cho's Song. Hope you like it :)
