Every trillion years, the universe becomes unstable. To stabilize itself, the universe tears and leaks some of the most powerful cells to have ever existed. The universe stabilizes and heals the tear once it has gotten rid of a few cells, ten to be exact. This process is vital in order to keep the universe from overloading. This overload of energy would result in the universe exploding, destroying everything that exists, including everything to exist in the past, present or future. All will be gone, forever.

Back to the story. These cells, once released, will travel to ten entities. One of those entities happen to be me. The cells are each lead by fate, spoiler alert, fate is not always good. Five cells went to worthy, kind-hearted beings, the others, well, they ended up going to some not-so-nice ones... I don't know where the other cells went to exactly, or who they went to. I just know that one of them came to me, and I'm glad that it did, because I know that I'm a good person. Who knows where that cell could've landed up otherwise?

I got my cell one day when I was hiding in the bathroom at school from some bullies. I was sitting on the floor inside one of the stalls, hands wrapped around my bruised legs, crying as soft as I could to avoid being noticed. Don't get me wrong, I can stand up for myself, I'm not weak, in fact I consider myself quite strong. The only problem was that I was out-numbered. This isn't some small group of kids I'm talking about, I'm talking a big group of at least 12 (probably more) boys. They all come in many different shapes and sizes, some are short, some are big, but one thing they all share in common is that they are mean, tough and scary. It's not very wise to face a large group of bullies, at least not alone. I do have friends, but none have the courage to stand up for me, or come with me. I have told adults. They don't listen. Let alone do something about it.

Resume: I'm crying softly, trying to comfort myself, the bathroom empty and dark because the blinds are all closed. The faint sound of laughter coming from the juniors, while my mind is playing back my freshest memories. Suddenly, a bright, blue light fills the entire bathroom, bringing with it a strong aura. The aura somehow immediately tells you that whatever has just entered, is really powerful. My tears suddenly stop, replacing my sad face with a frightened, pale one. I stand up, trembling, but not daring to make a sound, until I see the light getting brighter, and brighter, it was coming towards me. I started breathing intensely, my adrenaline started pumping faster, and faster. I thought this was the end. Little did I know, it was only the beginning,

I only got a glimpse of the cell, but I remember it being blue, bright and about the size of a soccer ball. I saw it come closer, and closer, until the point that I thought it would collide with me, it will, just carry on reading. I couldn't move, I was so scared to the extent that I was frozen, literally. The second I absorbed this 'light', I passed out. I don't remember anything after that.

I woke up on a bed to see the school nurse examining me. As soon as she realized I was awake, she started to explain what happened. First of all, after free period, someone realized I went missing when I didn't show up to my next class. The nurse said that she didn't know who it was, except that they had orange hair, green eyes, was average height and was a girl. I knew who it was: my friend, Aria. We sit next to each other at chemistry, we got to know each other and she became a pretty good friend. I like her, she's bubbly, mischievous, but has a kind heart. She's pretty good at Chemistry as well, most of the time she gets A's and B's. Anyway, the nurse told me that "the girl" informed our teacher. He waited a couple minutes to see if I was just late, but of course, I never came. That's when he started to take the situation more seriously. He went to the secretary's office and made an announcement to the whole school that I was missing. Everyone panicked, there were countless teachers that volunteered to help search for me.

My English teacher was the one that found me. According to the nurse, the teacher entered the bathroom and spotted the closed stall. It was distinct from the others because the rest were open. She immediately knocked on the stall door and asked if anyone was in there, no response. She peaked under the door. In our bathrooms, there were large gaps at the bottom of each stall, well, large enough for someone to stick a foot in there. At first glance, she knew it was me, not only because I was lying on the floor, but because I think she has a soft spot for me. She knows me very well, probably because I do well in English, but still. She got a worker to climb into the stall from the top and unlock it. They then immediately rushed me to the nurse as fast as they could.

I, of course eventually awoke. Apparently I had been lying on that bed for about twenty minutes. The last thing I heard from the nurse is that my mom's on her way to fetch me and that she had to go because she had nine other children to attend to. That left me curious. So when she left the room, I tried to listen in on her conversation with the principal. I managed to make out that ten children all fainted and went missing at around the same time. She sounded very concerned as she told the principal. She was saying how odd it all seemed. If only I had realized sooner that those nine children were the other 'victims' of these cells. If I had figured out who they were, I could take them down in real life. As in, take them down while they are defenseless. If we could take them down, our lives would be a lot less problematic. There would be a lot less battles, a lot less people getting injured, a lot less pain, a lot less weight to carry on our shoulders, a lot less, well, mistakes..

I actually never told you what the cells did to each of us. Well, to summarize it, it granted us superpowers. The superpowers suit our personalities perfectly. Well for my abilities, I love cats, so my superpowers are based around them. For example, I can camouflage, jump really high and hear very well. I am more of a sly, strategic superhero. I am the one that comes up with the plans. That doesn't mean I don't make mistakes though, I make them pretty often in fact. That's why I'm thankful to have such a forgiving team.

Also, none of us know each other's real identities. The only person that knows I'm Catgirl is well, me. It IS hard being a superhero, I won't lie, but it's worth it. We're still fighting the enemies to this day. I am the only one in the team that can extract these cells, but only when the person is de-transformed can I do so. I can only use this ability five times, so if I stuff up, we are all screwed. That is definitely something that will be hard to forgive. I wouldn't even forgive myself if I made a mistake there. There is more pressure being put on me than anyone else in the team, as I'm the only one that can rid the world of Terror, Team Terror to be exact, it's the name of the enemy 'team'. All of them are supervillains and it's up to me to get rid of their cells. By the way, I probably should've mentioned this in the beginning, but I'm Jess. And this, is only the beginning.
