Author's note: I own nothing but plot, I may change this chapter around a little bit but I wanted to post it before I lost my nerve. Since I am playing in the sandbox I'm keeping most characters alive because they don't deserve the cards they were dealt with.

Slytherin's Secret

Prologue:

Voldemort's body laid on the ground motionless after years of fighting the war was over and the light had won. Hermione looked around the small wizarding Village of Hogsmeade looking for the one person she hasn't seen in six months the one person who at this exact moment she realizes might be dead, and nobody but her would be upset by this. Looking around the village she spots Sirius and yells for him before he even has a moment to greet her she asks "Have you seen him?" Sirius can sense her desperation the need for her to know that he was okay. "Yes Kitten, I have seen him, he is safe all is well."

"Whose safe 'Mione" Ron asks as he and Harry approached her and Sirius. "I believe she is referring to her husband." Sirius instigated. Hermione immediately turned to Sirius and punched him in the arm. "Damnit, Witch! Why must you always hit me!" he attempted to defend himself when she went after his arm again "I won't tell you where he is if you don't stop hitting me." Immediately Hermione stopped hitting Sirius' arm "Where?" she asked. Instead of Sirius answering her, Ron said" YOUR MARRIED!? TO WHO! HOW DID WE NOT KNOW!" Ron yelled it didn't appear he was angry more just shocked. "Ronald please lower your voice. I didn't tell you two for a reason I was afraid you would be upset we were young at the time and I wasn't sure how you two would have reacted especially because I was working on a lot with Dumbledore and I had a lot of other things going on that you two wouldn't have understood. Harry looked at her questioningly with his bright emerald eyes you could tell he was trying to put the very little information he was given together. "How about we go back to Grimmauld place and you explain to us the other half of your life we are apparently missing out on." Hermione really wanted to go back to her own home but she had to wait, she had to tell her friends the whole part of her life they didn't know about, the part of her life that dated back to 1st year on the train to Hogwarts. Before they left she turned to Sirius "Can you please tell him that I am telling them everything, and make sure that the others do not get falsely arrested I would do it myself but I'm afraid it's going to be like the incident last year." Sirius nodded in response and walked away.

She looked at her friends, grabbed their shoulders and apparated them to Grimmauld Place. Without saying a word she let go of their shoulders and headed into the house pass the terrible painting of Walburga up the stairs and into the Library she sat on her favourite couch and awaited the boys who were shortly behind her. "Alright Hermione, can you please explain to us who you are married too?" Harry asked she stared at him for a moment longer than said. "When I met Neville we were looking for Trevor on the train after I had seen you two I was stopped at another compartment filled with a close tight-knit group of friends who were starting Hogwarts with us. We all started talking and got along well very quickly I was afraid of them slightly because of a warning McGonagle gave me about purebloods who came from the Sacred twenty-eight but they were quite nice and quickly accepting."

Ron looked at her very pensive, gnawing on the skin around his nails. She could tell he wanted to say something but was trying to find a way to say it. After silence that filled the room that felt longer than it probably was, he said: " So you married a Slytherin and your friends with the whole bleeding lot aren't ya." Hermione couldn't help but slightly chuckle
