Serene Chaos: Chapter 1
James Potter walked purposely down the corridor, he was stopped by a stone gargoyle "password please." it said in scratchy voice. "Lemon-drops" said James with restrained emotion a mixture of sadness and anger. He walked through the doorway without any hesitation.
As he entered the room he heard a calm voice welcome him from behind "Hello, I was expecting you. Are you alright? Are you sure you don't want this to wait?" asked the old wizard his blue eyes that were usually full of twinkling stars were dimmed out last night's events.
The young man turned around to face him, his hazel eyes bright with warring emotions. "Wait? Exactly what is it that I am waiting for professor? For him to take my son away from me? For him to kill someone else I love? He killed her! Professor! He killed Lily! My Lily! My flower! My sun! My moon! My everything! He just took her away from me! I wasn't there to protect her to reassure her to... SAVE HER! I was to busy with a mission and then I went to Sirius's flat to see him! By the time I came home everything was done and I found Harry in a pile of ash Unharmed, Thank god! but crying then I saw the scar! That evil thing!
I saw her too professor! She was dead cold and her eyes! Her eyes that were so full of life and light was dead and dimmed! I failed at being a husband and a father! Why? Why didn't he just take me instead of her? Why do I have to live when she dies? Why does Harry have to grow up without a mother? Why does he need to suffer for something he had no control over? Why? Why? WHY?"
And for the first time in two days the young man who saw it all finally broke down and cried like a child.
