Murdering Mary Sue~ A Short Story
Hermione Granger was beyond furious. Who was this Mary Sue and why did she think she could come to Hogwarts, charm everyone over and get better grades… all without trying. Harry was smitten, Ron was drooling; even Draco Malfoy couldn't think of an insult to throw at her. She was effectively a 'sexy' version of Hermione, somehow making reading a book and going to the library look good.
Even Ginny was annoyed at the new witch.
Mary Sue had to die.
It was simple, she was most likely secretly aligned with the evil forces that were trying to destroy the British wizarding way of life. And because of that alignment, she must die.
Hermione read hundreds of fan fiction stories where Mary Sue, or an aliased version of her came in and stole the show by being totally brilliant at everything. Hermione continued reading the cringe-worthy stories, trying to find the solution to get rid of her.
A sordid affair with Voldemort perhaps? Hermione wasn't willing to orchestrate that so she kept researching. Mary Sue some how knew Hermione's every move in every story, so Hermione knew she had to do something completely unorthodox.
One very lucky occasion she came across a new fan fiction story titled "Murdering Mary Sue" hoping she had hid the jackpot she clicked the URL on her computer. The story relayed all of her frustrations, Hermione totally related to the fan fiction version of Hermione. It wasn't until the very last line of the story that she found the secret way to get rid of the overly clichéd, 'perfect', omniscient Miss Mary Sue…
