After Infinite's defeat, Eggman got his empire back, but he had returned to his evil ways. Cream had to go home to her mother, since her mother missed her, and Big joined the Chaotix, and joined them in their hideout in Central City, a bar called the Mystic Island Tiki Bar, where Big was the bartender. Vector, Espio, and Charmy operated behind the scenes where they had a base of operations in the employee lounge. Silver and Blaze were back in their dimension along with Marine, where they would reside. With the loss of Omega, Rouge and Shadow mourned his passing, and buried Omega's dead cyber structure in the GUN base in Central City, where they would meet Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles. Team Sonic merged with two members of Team Dark and one member of Team Rose to create Team Hero, who would wear white uniforms with red and black accents, and the Resistance star in the upper right hand corner of the uniform. Little did they know that Eggman revived Mephiles with the Chaos Emeralds, making Mephiles replace Infinite as Eggman's partner in villainy.
