A Call to the Lost
Hey Guys
I used to post pretty often to a forum called the Storyteller's Guild and I can't find it on here. Do any of you have it archived? Or know when it went defunct?
I had a lot of posts and ideas on there that I really liked and I was hoping to find it again. I plan on starting writing as a relaxing pastime. Or at least I intend to incorporate into my lifestyle. After all I am always narrating stuff to myself so why not write it down?
If you could help me find this I would really be grateful,
Gigi the Dancer
Once Upon a time... the words are stills, pictures captive on the page. They yearn to be dancing and not just static captives but what can they do? They only take life when someone reads them off the page, when they become words in more than one mind. They become shared communal, communicated ideas. They have a fire to spark, to incite the fire of revolution or the love of words. Who are we to so blatantly ignore that power that resides within our keystrokes and pen scribbles? We are often taking the written word for granted, not realizing what is captured and what is breathed into being. The modern day wizard I believe would text spells to his apprentice. The dragon would not speak but be able to write beautiful tweets and short messages to his followers.
I sit here and remember often frantic scribbles and awesome ideas, the flow of ideas and the rhythm of creation as a narrative formed between us. I wish to reread what we once wrote and what we had and I am looking for an old forum called the Storyteller's Guild. I remember a lurid orange dress at a champagne covered ball which hid noblewomen friends who had secret agendas as healers and spies. I don't really remember who was who except I portrayed my character as an outrageous social butterfly who had deep minded interests.
Do you remember who was there or what was said? Do you have it archived all away and can share it with me?
I bet most certainly that everyone has had productive lives and has filed off into the world of work and jobs. I bet you have all left the comfortable cavern and the fire side that we once sat at long ago but for those of you who still follow me and know what had happened please relieve my anxiety of mind as I quest in search of knowledge that Google cannot answer. I have finally integrated my multiple email addresses so if you PM me I will be able to answer you.
This is my call to the lost and the prodigal. I have fair lily white arms open to embrace you.
I might actually type out a short story for this..give me a day or two,
