Emily Prentiss looked at the man standing in front of her with a raised eyebrow. "Can I do something for you, Hotch?"
Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner sighed. "I know that I made you mad at me earlier and for that I'm sorry. I would like to take you out to dinner as an apology."
Emily huffed and rolled her eyes. "I still can't believe that you thought I was flirting with that man, Aaron! I used to think that you know me but now I can clearly see that you don't know me! I thought that you knew that I loved you but obviously you don't know that either. I'm not so sure that a dinner will work as an apology. You really hurt me with your thoughtless accusations."
Aaron ran a hand through his hair and down his face. "I know that dinner will not work alone as an apology which is why after asking Dave for his opinion I booked you a spa day for this coming Saturday. I truly am sorry, sweetheart. I know in my heart that you would never flirt with another man but it is still getting it through my head that is hard. I guess I'm still feeling vulnerable in my head because of what Haley did to me. I do know that you love me, Em. Just like I hope you know that I love you. You saved me in so many ways, Emily. If it wasn't for you I'm not so sure I would be here right now. So please let me take you to dinner as part of my apology and just because I want to spend the evening with you."
Emily could tell that every work Aaron spoke was the truth because she could see it in his eyes. She hated that he was still feeling even the tiniest bit vulnerable because of what his ex wife did to him. She just couldn't understand why Haley would cheat on Aaron like she did. She just couldn't understand why Haley thought it was a good idea to hurt Aaron like that and then still expect him to give up the house he bought for them to her. Luckily Dave had seen what Haley was trying to do and made sure that Aaron didn't sign the house over to her but did buy her a small two bedroom home. She shook her head to clear it and slowly smiled at the man who held her heart in the palm of his hands. "Aaron, I would love to go to dinner with you. I forgive you for earlier but never do it again or we will have problems. Would you like to stay the night at my place tonight?"
Aaron smiled as he pulled Emily into his arms and kissed her passionately. "I would love to stay the night tonight, sweetheart. I will wait on you to get ready and then we can go out to dinner and come back here to watch a movie and cuddle."
Emily grinned at that and kissed Aaron quickly before she ran up the stairs and to her bedroom. She quickly changed, did her hair, repaired her makeup and then made her way back down to her man. Yes she would be happy for a night out and then a night in with her man. She really did love Aaron and she knew that he loved her.
