Hinata POV

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER, FOREVER.

He was gorgeous. A knucklehead, but still gorgeous. In my eyes, he was absolutely beautiful. Everytime we were around each other, I got nervous. I began to sweat, blush, and push my index fingers together in a way that I did constantly. Let's face it; I'm just a shy girl, especially around him.

When he asked me to eat ramen with him, I nodded, and said "That would be nice, Naruto-kun." He gave me that silly grin that constantly made my heart melt, and said that I should meet him at his favorite ramen stand at 6:30, and that he couldn't wait to eat dinner with me. Now, was I supposed to think of this as my first date in my whole sixteen years of being alive, or was I supposed to think of it as him just being nice? I wasn't sure, but I was more than happy to be eating dinner with him.

So, I went, and didn't bother to think of it as anything other than a date. It made me feel a little more confident, you know? During that time together, we talked about lots of things. Well...actually, he did most of the talking, but I spoke a little every now and then. I guess I'm just more of a listener.

It was amazing, I had to admit. I never thought he'd be so kind and...sweet. He really seemed a little odd, but I mean, I liked it. For some reason, I always imagined it would be. When we left the ramen stand, he offered to walk me home. I accepted his offer, and we set a slow pace back to the Hyuuga clan residence.

He had his arm around my waist the whole time. It was very uncomfortable for me at first, but then I just relaxed, when Naruto whispered, "Just chill out, Hinata-chan. It's not like I'm going to hurt you or anything." He obviously saw how nervous I was. Perfect.

So, our walk lasted about an hour, and it wasn't as conversation filled. But it was still nice. When we reached the gates, we stopped, knowing that if he went any closer to the house, it might get us into trouble. My father didn't like Naruto very much, and we both knew that.

We exchanged good-byes, thank-yous, and spoke of doing it again. I was ready to start walking again, but when I turned to leave, he pulled me back, so I was facing him. He was awefully close. I barely whispered his name. I couldn't speak, and my mouth felt dry. Before I knew it, his lips were gently pressed to mine.

It took a second or two for me to get ahold of myself, and when I did, I turned my head to the side slowly, and blushed about three shades darker than I ever had before.

I heard Naruto chuckle, before muttering another good-bye. He kissed my cheek, and then walked away, but I didn't move for a while. When I did, he was more than out of sight, so I took off running towards my front door.

My very first good night kiss came from Naruto Uzumaki, and it was amazing.

It'd be a night to remember, forever.
