Matter of Fact…
There are several things in this world that cannot be altered. They are praised by scientists, written down in textbooks and then taught to bored children who would much rather chew gum and listen to their iPods. In this way it is circulated around and around through generation after generation, unanimously accepted by all.
You can't disprove them, you can't change them, you can't fight them, and very often you can't even understand them - but they're there, all the same, and probably always will be. Facts.
It is a fact that the Earth goes around the Sun.
It is a fact that blue is blue and yellow is yellow.
It is a fact that there are sixty seconds in a minute.
It is a fact that fire burns when you put your fingers in it.
It is a fact that some people like tea and some people like coffee.
It is a fact that all girls have the double X chromosome.
It is a fact that somebody just died whilst you were reading this.
And it is a fact that Misa Amane loved Light Yagami – loved him with all her heart, to coin a common phrase. It was just there, this h u g e mish-mash of feelings and hurt and grief and adoration that couldn't be disproved, couldn't be changed, couldn't be fought and definitely couldn't be understood.
It just was.
And there was nothing Misa could do about it.
