"Come Willowpaw" Acornsplash mewed softly, her voice crackly with age
Acornsplash hobbled down to the river and Willowpaw couldn't help but wonder Why did Silverstar give me an ELDER as a mentor?!
Willowpaw bounded up beside Acornsplash and sat down quickly.
"Today we are going to lear-..." Acornsplash droned before nodding off
Willowpaw sighed and prodded Acornsplash awake for the fourth time that day
"Vole! Now, where was I..." Acornsplash began again, when suddenly her voice was cut off by a squeal
"Hey! Willowpaw!" Pikepaw called, rushing over to his littermate
"Wanna join me and Stoneclaw for training"
Before Acornsplash could react, Willowpaw was on her paws
"Sure!"
Willowpaw bolted away with Pikepaw, leaving Acornsplash in the dust.
"Nice to see you Willowpaw!" Stoneclaw purred, blushing slightly.
"Nice to see you too!"
"Now, today we're learning how to fish" Stoneclaw purred
"First, get down on your belly and wait for a fish to arrive"
"There's one!" Willowpaw whispered as a tiny silver fish darted into view
"Now, reach your claws down and swipe it up"
Willowpaw's paw shot forward and flipped the fish upwards
"I got it! I got it!"
