Change

Change, its definition is "to make different in some particular way". It can be as simple as changing your clothes, or as serious and hard as changing the world. If you think about it, change is very natural, and happens every day. Many great people have had to know that they were about to hit everyone with something new. It dwells in every living soul to change what they believe is wrong, but what they believe is wrong makes them different. I think my favorite quote is "When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it difficult, so I tried to change my nation. As before, I found it hard so I tried to change my town. That was hard, so I decided to change my family. Now as an older man I realize if I would've changed my family, it could have influenced my town, which could've impacted my nation, and I could've indeed changed the world." That shows how one small person trying to make a difference, can eventually make an even larger one in the world. Look at Martin Luther King Jr.; he started out being an average African-American living in segregation. He didn't grow up thinking every day that he was going to make a large difference. It wasn't until when he grew up, that he started realizing that someone had better do something about all the segregation. He actually started making changes in his town. Like I showed before, his actions influenced the nation, which eventually changed the world. Who is to say that the next person to make a change is living among us right now? Who is it to say that it isn't you! If everyone keeps saying, "someone will do something about this", who will be the one to say," I am going to do something about it"? I can honestly say that the world is in need of a leader, someone who recognizes and is ready to lead us in the right direction. But the road to greatness is an extremely bumpy one.
