In honor of Peter Sallis (1921-2017) May Ben Whitehead be a good successor to him. So here comes a new version of Tails Rouge TV night. The previous one was deleted by mistake ^^; so forgive me.

Tails was at home, feeling sad. He had heard some sad news which had spoilt his day. Suddenly, there was a knock on his door. The fox went to open it and standing before him was Rouge the Bat, dressed in a black long sleeve collared shirt with a pair of blue jeans tucked into a pair of knee-high emerald green heeled boots.
"Hey little foxy" she said. "Thought I'd drop by to see how ya doing."
"Oh, hi Rouge" said Tails glumly.

The bat sensed something was wrong. "Can I come in?" she asked and was allowed into the house. "What's wrong honey?"
"It's terrible Rouge. Peter Sallis who does the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit has died" the fox explained. "They could get someone else or use a voice distorter but it won't be the same."
"Oh that is sad" replied the bat who got out her iPhone to research the actor. "96, that's a good age. It appears he was the only actor to appear in all 295 episodes of Last of the Summer Wine" she noted.
"Plus he was in Doctor Who too" added Tails. "Y'know Rouge, I was going to watch The Wrong Trousers as a tribute. Would you like to watch it with me? You'll like it."
"Sure darling" she answered and walked with Tails into a sitting room where they made themselves comfortable on a couch. Before putting on the DVD, the fox noticed his friend's heavy footwear.

"Maybe you'd like something more comfortable for your feet" he suggested.
"Okay" she responded and at that Tails produced a small remote with a button on. He pressed it and mechanical arms came down yanking off Rouge's leather boots, relieving her white socks and putting a pair of backless green slippers on.
"Oooh, that's better" remarked the bat.

The pair then watch the film. They laugh at the comical moments, especially the fact that Feathers McGraw is mistaken for a chicken. "Come on! You can see it's a flippin' penguin" Rouge points out.
During the scene where Wallace is made to steal the diamond from the museum, Rouge makes a suggestion to Tails. "You know, you could be my little Wallace and make me some inventions to steal emeralds" she says, affectionately rubbing her left foot against Tails' furry leg.
"I don't know about that" he says, slightly embarrassed.

By the time the movie ends, Tails yawns. "My, you are a tired little fox" Rouge says. "I'll take you up to bed" and with that the bat gives Tails a piggyback up to his room.
Rouge tucks Tails in but he then asks "Will you sleep with me? Sometimes, I get lonely and scared at night".
"Alright lovely" responds Rouge and climbs into bed beside him.
The next morning, Rouge wakes up and finds herself alone in the bed. She gets up, still in the clothes and slippers from the previous day and goes outside. Tails is working on the Tornado.

"Morning Rouge" Tails greets her.
"Busy first thing?" the bat asks.
"I like to be busy" replies Tails. "I've been fixing the Tornado. Would you like a ride in it?"
"You bet" answers Rouge and with that the two friends fly off in the plane into the blue morning sky.
