This is my first one-shot, and, I hope you enjoy it.

Sirius POV

At breakfast all I could do is stare at the walls. This is the place that hid me from my past. Now, it can no longer shelter me. Normally, I had somewhere to hide, now, my hiding place is my head, which, not for much longer will help me.

"Strange huh?" James said, who was looking up.

"Yeah."

"Well, if you got good grades, you may of stayed." Remus said.

"If I worse grades, you mean Moony."

"You could teach here. Sorry to say this Pads, but feel the burn!"

I finished my breakfast quickly so I could take a walk around the castle. I wanted to see it all before I left. I found Nearly Headless Nick near the end of my walk, at the astronomy tower.

"Ah, Nick, does it get much harder?"

"Sadly. But then you forget. Oh, but the school will never be the same without you."

"For the greater good."

Nickolas turned around."No, even Dumbledore would have something else to say to that."

I smiled then left the room, going back to the dorm to pack. The train had to leave in a hour so I made it to the Great Hall as quick as possible. I was the last person there, so McGonagall lead me out. Right before I left the doors for the last time, she hugged me. I waved and I was off.

The train was very quiet. The Huffelpuff's promised they would meet again, the Ravenclaw's saying they'd miss their teachers, Slytherins glad to be away, us Gryffindor's were barley brave enough to talk.

The train came to a stop and I took my bags and stood up taller. I hugged my friends and stood in the middle of the platform.

"How does being homeless feel?" I heard the cruel voice of my mother behind me.

"I have made enough money to start my own life." I said, feeling a confidence that I had never felt around her. I heard her leave before I moved towards the exit, doing just as I told her.

Sirius sat on a bench outside a small house writing it down. This story would lead him to a well paying job, and a life he would regret, and enjoy.

Boom! OMG, that really wasn't hard. At all. I mean, it was probably the topic but, I love it.
