Stay the Night

My May/Coulson shipper heart has been down lately because tbh I think Coulson is being a bit of a jerk (or a massive jerk... either one) but I stumbled across a heap of one-shots I'd started a few months ago and thought it might make me feel better to start posting again! I can pretend that Coulson is nice still.

Hope you all enjoy them :)

May ran her fingers down Coulson's temple, rubbing antiseptic into the wound present there. Pressing a little harder as he groaned and let out a breath, she moved between his legs, careful to keep minimal body contact.

"Keep still" she said as she placed the patch over his wound and taped it down.

"You don't have to been so rough" he complained, trying to pull away from her.

"You've been through worse, you'll live." Moving from between his legs, May quickly threw all the first aid kit back in the box and made her way towards the bathroom, stuffing it under the sink before washing her hands.

"Do you have any painkillers?" She turned her head to see him leaning against the door. Throwing him the bottle she gave him a small smile.

"I'll get you a blanket, you can stay on the sofa tonight." May went to walk past when he lightly grabbed her arm, pulling her closer to him.

"Aren't you going to ask how I got it?"

"No" she muttered, straining to keep her distance.

"I'm sorry Mel." Coulson sighed as he rested his forehead against hers, feeling her lean into him for the first time all night. It was reassuring that despite all that had happened between them, she still let him in, even if it was only slightly.

"Me too." May whispered, before moving away from him. "I'll get you that blanket."
