HSOW&W: Lineage Studies: Task 1: Write about someone feeling/being invisible

Little Harry curled in on himself tighter as he saw the door to the school close behind the teacher and the rest of his class. His teacher once said history was doomed to repeat itself. Harry didn't know what that meant, but he wished that the same things didn't keep happening to him.

He was left outside, again because Dudley tied his shoelaces to the bottom of the swing set as his other friends were using him as a punching bag again and his fingers were too frozen to untie the knots. Dudley then stole his threadbare hand-me-down jacket to allow him to freeze in the cold wintery weather, not that the jacket helped much anyway. The teacher failed to notice… again.

Harry just knew he was going to get in trouble for not coming in with the rest of the class again when it was eventually noticed that he wasn't in again… normally because Dudley would say something after a while just so he would get into trouble because Dudley could do no wrong even in the teacher's views since Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon had them convinced that he was the problem.

He was freezing. He hoped Dudley decided he wanted to get him in trouble earlier than normal. It was freezing out here. With his luck Dudley would wait even longer than normal. Well he knew he wouldn't be getting dinner tonight anyway so perhaps it didn't matter.

'I just hope someone comes to let me in soon,' Harry thought miserably, trying to curl in tighter to preserve as much heat as he could. His fingers were numb by this point and he tucked them between his knees hoping to get some feeling back in them.

Would they ever come for him or would this be the day that Dudley finally decided to let him freeze to death?
