I don't own Naruto. In fact, I don't even watch/read Naruto very much, and I have no desire of owning it. I any other stuff I talk about in this fanfic, either.

IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE STUFF: Please don't take this seriously. That would be disturbing. Oh yeah. This takes place in future Shippuden, when Sasuke becomes a good guy, or whatever.

Sasuke's Proposal

--

It was exactly eight o'clock. Well, maybe about two minutes and four seconds past eight. . But we shouldn't be picky about this sort of thing. Anyway, it was a cloudy day, and Sasuke was looking at the girl of his dreams in a vast meadow. There was mist, because it had just rained. They were both drenched.

"I've changed my ways. I'm with Team Seven now. I've traveled long and far to meet you..." Sasuke said. "You take my breath away. I've been holding it in for so long..."

She blinked.

"I..."

She blinked again.

"I..."

She blinked again, a little more slowly this time.

"I... look, will you stop blinking? It's rather distracting."

She didn't blink.

"Good."

She blinked.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" screamed Sasuke so loud that anyone within a 25 thousand mile radius could hear her. He cleared his throat.

"I love you."

There was silence.

Her eyes shifted slightly.

Sasuke took a deep breath. Be a man. You can do this. He told himself. reaching into his pocket, he grabbed a box. He knelt down and opened it. "Will-- will..."

She blinked. AGAIN.

Sasuke suppressed a scream. "Will you marry me?"

"Um, Sasuke, that's a box of Advil."

"Um, sorry." He reached into his other pocket. The one with the box that had the ring of power. He opened it and held it out.

"Will you--"

"Sasuke,"

"What?" Sasuke could hear his heart beat.

"I think I'm a little old for you." said Anko.

"B-but... no boundaries can stop true love! If you leave me, my heart will ache forever--"

She ruffled his hair and smiled. Three inches away from his face, she smiled and whispered "No,". She then walked away, leaving Sasuke alone in the cold, unforgiving mist.

The End.

(By the way, that meadow was the meadow in Teletubbie land.)
